- Daughter of the Bride follows the special relationship between Diane (Marcia Gay Harden) and Kate (Halston Sage), who are not only mother and daughter but also best friends. However, their lives are turned upside down when Diane announces her engagement to a man named Bruce (Aidan Quinn), whom she’s been secretly dating. In a series of comical events, Kate must come to terms with letting her mother be happy with someone else while she navigates her own love life and career aspirations.
The whole movie explained, beat-for-beat, in two and half minutes. Impressive.

Are you familiar with the concept of parenthood? It includes the fact, that a parent never stops to be a parent, no matter what age they themselves or what age their children are. Therefore, surprise, even a person of the age of 100 years still will be a parent - of a probable 70something then though.

This movie seems like it was written by a woman..as in jejune and derivative. In other words, awful. Going nowhere and unoriginal, with ridiculous, played out one liners.
