What is with these d*mn trailers?! Can't they not show the end of the movie?! Like come on. It's not like we don't know HOW it's gonna end, but still....
I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I am started to think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other, while most platonic best friends remain friends until death. I think that having a platonic best friend is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse is. Having someone who's like a sibling to you is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse. Also, you are more likely to be much more closer to someone who's like a brother or sister to you than you would be with a romantic partner or spouse. People tend to fight with their partner or spouse a lot more than they do with a platonic best friend, and you never fight with your best friend the way you fight with your partner or spouse. Partners and spouses are just temporary. If you break up or divorce them, it's hard to go back to them. With your platonic best friend, you're going to make things work, because they are your best friend, they are your go to partner. It's always easier to make amends with them than it is with a romantic partner or spouse.
Dear friend, yes couples break up and its always hard when this happens but friends do fight and stop being friends too. Nothing in life is certain, every type of relationship can end. It now depends on you and your partner/friend to choose to stay with each other no matter the odds. I hope as you grow older and meet more people, you'll see why people choose to have a romantic partner. And I hope you find the best one for you. Cheers
i wish i had friendships like that, but i can say some of my siblings are like that. and yeah, siblings won't reject you or cut you out of their life if you gain some weight or get sick. i agree that romance is temporary. men are programmed for variety anyway.
@jones2277 LOL. Romance is as temporary as you want it. When you're in love with someone, you have to make a conscious effort to stay that way. Intentionality is what keeps a marriage or a relationship going. And no, men are not conditioned for variety. It's a choice. Every day, we all choose to be who we wish to be; a faithful and Intentional partner or an asshole. Always remember that the culmination of one's life boils down to the choices you make. I hope you choose well.
@@habibatotunbade8697 you do make a choice to stay in a relationship, but it takes two and just because you stay together, doesn't mean you love each other. also, just because you are committed, doesn't mean your partner is, and any love that falls apart because the other partner gets sick or gains weight just isn't serious to me. i would never stop loving my parents or siblings or friends for those reasons. as far as male preference for variety, take that up with evolutionary biologists who have studied male brains and behavior. that being said, just because you have that natural preference, doesn't mean you have to act on it. i agree with you that you always have a choice. i hope you choose love, friend.

Also, women can have friends and biological family that they share a life with. We as humans need the presence of other humans in our lives yes. But we can live alone. We don’t need romantic relationships to survive. We do need love and support, but it can be from friends and family. It does not need to be from a romantic partner. Studies also show that single women are far happier than their married peers, and that married women lose out in career earnings, career trajectory, health, and life expectancy compared to those single peers as well. Married women live shorter lives, and report lower levels of happiness than women who never marry. Also, according to many studies, women have higher rates of depression when married.
