Such a red flag when a company forces influencers to write positive reviews. If they believe in their treatment why would you even need to hold a gun up to them? You did the right thing Mikan.

I feel like Mikan proves time and time again that she's an influencer than I can trust because I know she wouldn't steer her audience in the wrong direction and I that's one of things I really appreciate about her. You're such a professional, you had a bad experience at that clinic, but you didn't name them, or bad mouth them, you just explained the situation and let it go. 🙏🙏
It sucks that they made you feel so uncomfortable, but on the other hand, you got to wear matching outfits with your friend, it's not every day you get that chance!
(But let's say they didn't make you feel umcomfortable, wouldn't it have been a red flag that they wanted to control what you say and force you to post a positive review, regardless? I wouldn't trust my skin to someone showing so little confidence in their business).
The fact that THEY invited YOU but wouldn't even tell you what they were gonna do, just emphasizing that it's $7k so one would think it must be worth it if it's that expensive... yeah, they seem a bit shady. You did good to walk out! There are way better places that probably do similar stuff AND properly inform their customers.
that being said, i also would have taken the chance, just to at least have a fun trip out of it like you guys did lol
I always really appreciate how Vina shares insights like this into what influencer work is sometimes like. I feel like it’s so valuable for younger creators - or any creator just starting out online - to see examples of influencers thinking critically about sponsorships and setting clear boundaries about what they are and aren’t comfortable with, what kind of treatment is “normal” or acceptable from sponsors, when to walk away from a deal, etc.

Man if I had that kind of treatment at a place like that all by myself, I would have been bawling my eyes out or felt real peer pressured to just keep going with what they said.
I'm guessing that's why they don't like guests. People with no backup/reality check are easier to bully. So shady. I'm glad she never went through with it, her skin is gorgeous anyway

gurl litterly all korean companies are this and even have laws that protect then from negative reviews you quite did the right thing. i had a friend once that was iver charged for a simple surgery she ended getting botched from and she still couldent wven write anything negative and whats crazy is they they took before and after photos to even act like they work was doing something like no sis...just no

Almost every time I’ve been to a skin clinic in Korea (3 times) I’ve had a bad experience with customer service. Maybe because I’m going to ones in busy areas and ones that speak English so they’re always busybut every time I felt like herded cattle. They were always running late and the nurses made me feel like I had to rush. Once I had to skip the consultation step and numbing cream and just go straight into a procedure that I’d never had before. Once they applied numbing cream and forgot about me until an hour later when I asked them about it. The nurse didn’t even apologise when she saw me removing it myself which really hurt. Thankfully, the skin treatments worked really well and the doctors who administered them seemed much kinder and more professional than the nurses but getting pushed around like that really made me question the safety of those clinics. If something went wrong I don’t think they’d care and probably would try to say it was my fault.
It was heartbreaking to see how you felt after going in the clinic. So glad you stayed true to yourself and dipped

Yeah plus I left this out of the video but they kept moving my face/adjusting it without saying anything to me and like touching my face without warning and that was just for the cleaning and face scan, i was just really uncomfortable

I honestly hope you email that company letting them know how your experience was and that it wasn’t a good one. Also if they made you uncomfortable I really think you should give out the name of the clinic so that way other people are made aware to possibly avoid it.

What's crazy is that usually people would go above and beyond for an influencer to get a good review. But instead they were just so evil because they knew you were gonna talk about it and couldn't care enough to act nice for one day... they were really using that contract as a sheild to treat people so rudely...
