初めまして、こんにちは! I am Yuki and currently living in UK at this moment. I always enjoy your films with my boyfriend who is British and BIG fan of you. Sendai is my hometown and I am glad that you introduce not only about Japanese culture, but also about Tohoku area which might not be familiar with foreigners. To be honest, I didn’t know about your channel before, which is a shame, but since he showed me one of your videos that was about “How to date Japanese girls” , I was fascinated and we started to watch together. Now, watching your videos is one of our routine in daily life! Thank you for making such amazing videos !!! In middle of April, I’ll finish my study here and go back to Sendai , besides my boyfriend is coming with me to travel around Japan. So we are hoping that we can see you somewhere around Sendai ! That would be in-FUCKING-credible!!! Because you are the shit!!! See you soon and looking forward to the next video as always! YUKI P.S. I am terribly sorry to use such bad words. I just wanted to make it funny. Hope you can understand…lol
Hope you guys have fun touring japan! ^o^ Edit: this was about a year after so you might not be traveling anymore. But i hope you had fun if that is the case!
Phrases for 2018, Ramen Drunk and Drunk on Curry. Both are things that people could definitely get behind as those dishes looked very appealing and appetizing.
Seeing your pain suffering from the cold makes me happy that a bit of home made it over to you to remind you of the UK while we recently had a load of snow. Couldn't ever have you home sick after all.
Thanks! It's been a blast so far trying something new. I'm gradually learning how to make it work! (To anybody reading this wondering where it is: hyperurl.co/nhgr30 )
Abroad in Japan i read the name Pete Donaldson (actual legend) on your podcast description. Already sold - great combination- cheers for the link, sir.

Will Chris the Camera Man make a return in the future? Even if he didn't talk much, he was almost like a guest or a second host for you to bounce off of. The little laughter you can hear throughout also adds a different tone to the whole video. I love it!
Favorite youtuber, just for the wit. I'm traveling to Japan in a few months and have been binging your videos, very helpful and entertaining content. Hoping for another 3 part series. Cheers!
Chris and other associates who help create this channel's content. Thank you so much! I thoroughly enjoy watching all of your videos. I discovered this channel about a week ago and I am addicted, in a good way. I always thought Japan was cool but now I am convinced I will have to go and experience this amazing country one day! Keep up the amazing work. I truly believe you will become bigger on RUclips and reach an even larger audience than you do now. Best wishes!
I'm hazarding a guess that you've heard this before, but I just have to say that there is something distinctly young Tim Roth-ish about you. That is a compliment. :) Vicariously enjoying Japan through you, thanks!
Many thanks! I wish somebody from Germany would start importing Paulaner Weißbier into Japan. I can't stop thinking about it since passing through Germany last month and discovering the finest tasting beer I've enjoyed in recent memory.
In Sapporo, there were many variations of this available during the '83 to '94 period. Mainly they were each just a progressively diminished amount of flour in the sauce, until at last there's none at all. It was a personal preference of each different place. What I'm saying is that there wasn't just "thick & floury" and "thin & brothy" but also a whole range in between. I didn't get a sense of it the last time I was there in 2016 mainly because I was after the Wagyu beef & Okonomiyaki.
For some reason I barely get hate mail these days. I think RUclips has some kind of magic filter, or people have just become nice. Whatever the reason, the absence of hilarious hate comments is certainly tragic.
Chris your content is consistently brilliant!! just made me laugh when camera man Chris was like "dude... You wanted my sausage that bad?" 😂😂😂 quality! plus your podcasts are the best! Keep up the great work 😘😘 xxx
Chris needs to do an episode on keigo, especially when it’s used incorrectly by foreigners since it’s such a unique part of the culture. I can already tell that it’s going to be hilarious.
Watching your evolution in your video making has been a real treat. Comparing this to your early videos not just with a better camera but better craftmanship and better composition. Keep up the good work Chris.
you said on the podcast you want to lose weight, 90% of your videos are about food :P love the channel, recently discovered you and have been on a video marathon :D
The problem wouldn’t be there if he just walked more after every hefty meal, he doesn’t really need to lose much either. I would happily take 5kg from him, I need to go up- extremely difficult when my body is imbalanced x.x
The warm bucket of water to clean your sticky fruit fingers off with is Japan in a nutshell. So much consideration for the small, simple things that can make a big difference. Great videos!

I clicked on one of your videos just to know some more about Japan like any other video, but you've quickly become one of my favorite youtubers EVER! Your videos are so high quality but also so real and you have such an infectious personality that makes me feel like I'm not just watching you in Japan, but right there with you having a good time exploring. Never done it before with any youtuber, but I'd love to send you something, like candy from my culture! Greetings from Southern California~
I wish I could try any genuine noodle soup, that is not instant noodles x.x but there are no such restaurants where I live. We have genuine sushi but… I will not eat raw anything, thank you.
I just wanted to thank you for the soup curry recommendation especially. My girlfriend and I were visiting their last fall when it was starting to get a bit chilly, and it was actually after the earthquake in a Hokkaido (late August I believe) - but that sweet shop owner was still open despite the food shortage on the island. We were driving around looking for places to eat and stumbled upon her restaurant through Google Maps - and she was fortunately open. We were the only customers in the restaurant, and my girlfriend, being so thankful to recognize the restaurant and find the one from your video, showed her and her husband your video. They were so delighted and lit up once she realized what she was being shown. We both loved the food and Hokkaido in general. Before we traveled there, your videos really helped. Even though the timing of our trip was unfortunate due to the earthquake, everyone we encountered in Hokkaido was so accommodating and kind. I bought a goody “The North Japan” t-shirt from the Sapporo Don Quijote and how I wear it too often, but I love it because of the fond memories from that trip. Just wanted to share this little story and say thanks! And that your videos bring delight to people featured in them as well!
As a non-japanese who never set foot in Japan (I really want to!) I have to say I'm quite proud to say I recognised the background song playing in the shop where you had shio ramen. Remioren from the drama Ichi Ritoru no Namida. Nice vid as usual Chris. Would love to go there and probably will do when I have the money. In the meantime, thanks for "taking" me to Japan, Chris!
