Child Outcomes Accountability Team January 2025

The BBF Child Outcomes Accountability Team (COAT) works to improve integration and coordination of early childhood public and private partners committed to the health and well-being of children and their families. The January meeting focused on monitoring progress towards Vermont Early Childhood Action Plan (VECAP) Goal 2: Families & communities play a leading role in children’s well-being. This included learning about different trauma-informed, family connection frameworks used across the state such as Touchpoints, Strong Families Vermont Home Visiting: Sustained Family Support, Parents as Teachers (PAT) a part of CIS, Nurturing Parents, and Strengthening Families. Members also made connections across programs, identified best practices, and suggested recommendations for policy change or collaborations across the early childhood system.
