@@StephanieMT thank you for that encouragement. I don’t always have time to make videos anymore, but for things that could really help people, I try to get those made. 😉 thanks for watching!
This looks fantastic. We are using McGuffeys and they are going well but my 2nd grader struggles and the phonics instruction in this looks so good. Thanks for this
We love foundational phonics. We also read the mcguffey for extra practice. My first struggled with all other reading programs and this is the only one he loves. I am also using with 2 other children.
We used McGuffeys for extra practice with my son too, and they work really well alongside Foundational Phonics. I enjoyed using it as much as my kids have.
Love hearing this. I think this is what we need. My daughter has really struggled, we’ve tried so many programs and the only thing going well is McGuffeys but she needs more phonics practice
@@ashleymurphy4813 in book 1, my child was older so we did a chapter a day in that book. In book two, we would do two to three pages a day, depending on where the reading selection was. We could have done more pages at a time, but she was already reading so I just decided to go slow and make sure everything was covered. That’s why it’s taken us a while to get through both books.
@@roseselthofer7207 If they can read simple cvc words, I would start with book 2 (Word Mastery). The only reason I had my youngest go thru book 1 even though she was already reading was to get her used to the font used in the 2nd edition. The font in the 3rd edition is very easy to read.
Im so glad you are making videos again

@@ashleymurphy4813 it has the wholesome style of McGuffeys but more explicit teaching of phonics principles. Glad you found the review helpful!

Can you tell me how many pages you would do in one lesson?
