Thank you so much. It's so great that you actually respond to your fans. It distinguishes you from the many other people who do stuff on RUclips--and in life!
16:13 for me. Now this is what a hard puzzle should look like.
This took me around 40 minutes and it was exactly what you pointed out, after getting the 189 triple it was a pretty easy solve but to get there I had almost every cell noted, I'm glad people asked you to upload this to understand a better approach
15:03 , that was a hard one but I enjoyed
I’m so glad people thought this one was extra difficult, I thought I was just losing my touch lol
Thank you!!!
Nice solve. This one stumped me
This was easier than I expected and definitely not one of the hardest NYT Sudokus. Finding various pairs, triples, and at least one quad helped. At one point, when I was near the end of centermarking, the puzzle just collapsed on me. I can't remember when or how.
9:40 Were I in that position, I would fill out row 7. Maybe I was, and maybe I did; I can't remember now. Also, I think that the puzzle collapsed when I realized that the only place for a 9 in column 9 was R1C9.
12:20 As another comment said, a 189 triple in column 5 may have been the beginning of the end of the puzzle. It did serious damage. I think that my practice of centermarking houses was good for solving this puzzle. (Other times, my practice just clutters the grid.) Also, I saw a potential 24 deadly pattern, rows 4 and 7, columns 4 and 6. I followed my usual practice of coloring the escape cells (two here) and predicting their digits (one of two possibilities).
17:00 That 5 was my second digit. As I sometimes brag at Smart Hobbies, Not-Quite-Snyder notation triumphs again.
28:29 … recent puzzles have been relatively straightforward. This one wasn’t too bad I don’t think, but did seem a little harder by comparison.
Also solved in 27, at least I was able to do it without watching your solve!
14:49 for me, quite hard compared to normal and the most fun puzzle in a long time!
Thank you rangsk, good solve! I got to the 9 you found in the end! Will finish it now.
It was that stupid 5 (stupid me) at 17:00 in your video. I knew it had to be 5 but couldn't convince myself that it was proven. So thanks for that! I'd already done all the other stuff so it then just fell into place for me.
My favorite part was being able to place the 5 in r3c7 before doing anything else, only off of 2 other 5s, neither of which were looking into box 3. A great find if someone found it before making any other markings.
I found the 9 another way. Happy I worked this one. 25 mins
38:57. Got stumped, found the 9, cursed, done.
I also struggled with this, but only for my own stupidity. Spoiler below
I did for the longest time not realise the 34 pair in B3 after the pointing 49 pair in B6 had removed the middle 4 from B2. After that it was a breeze.
What I liked was 5 in B3 limited purely by aligning cornermarks.
I think what made this puzzle difficult is that you needed aligning cornermarks three times. This is a method not front and center in many people's strategy.
11:19 to solve. Didn’t see anything that was hard to spot from a personal perspective.
I did this one in 15:13, but I don't remember the exact details because I learned the URL/date thing awhile ago so I did it on Monday
Yeah this one was hard. The original time it took me 20 minutes. When I redid it, I was able to scan around and see that I can place a naked 5 due to the "mini x-wing" in boxes 1 and 2, along with boxes 6 and 9.
20:47 I couldn't see 257 marked triples for 5 minutes 🤣🤣
40 minutes because I missed a 34 pair even though it was corner marked 🙃
Regarding predictable URLs in Sudokupad: Is there a way to do this for the general public, or do you need special rights for this?
If it can tempt others to try it, I didn’t find this one particularly difficult. And I really am not very good, I just practice daily thanks to Rangsk and other channels
Weird... I am no good at this and breezed trough it in normal time
I did all the older puzzles, it goes back to mid November 2023. Now I'm just like "🧍♀... I want more puzzles pls"
Does anyone knows how I can get a library of these kinds of sudokus (difficulty wise, I mean)? It doesn't have to be in sudokupad, I can learn how to transfer them!
I've heard good things about Sudoku Coach. I also know that HoDoKu can generate puzzles. Honestly for me though, doing hand crafted variant Sudoku has been far more fun. You can start with my Adventure series and see if you like it!
