I have said it before and i do it again: I love your passion for the game, it makes your videos so much fun to watch :D Now i have a problem, we are only on prosperity 1 in the game so i have to wait to watch your videos until we unlock the new items :/
I think the better rule of thumb would be to use the potion as early as possible, as that's really what gives you the most longevity. Using it when you have 8 cards in hand moving you up to 9 is the same as using it when you have 7 bringing you back to 8. It may not help you during that rest cycle, but it does the same thing in the end. But adding a card near the beginning of the game will increase your longevity much more than using it when you have, say 3 cards left.
If you play it where it gives you back 1 discard you must play it when you have an odd number of cards to get 1 turn of extra longevity back. If you play it original version where you get back 2 discarded cards then it adds an extra turn. Whether you play it on turn 2 or turn 15 it does not change how much longevity you get back.
I think you undervalue the health potion. A health potion is always 3 health while a power potion could be 0 damage, and do nothing. Also taking a health potions into battle is better than taking a heal card. While you take plenty of damage cards. So I would prefer a health potion. And hoping for heals from your teammates can turn out bad. A health potion would make yourself more versatile. I'm curious if you disagree with this. Nice video's 👌
agree, some classes have no need for attack damage as well. also the heal is also a cure poison/wound which can escalate out of control at higher levels and is useful for classes with limited healing abilites, the power potion is fine, but it rarely is as game changing/saving a well timed heal can be imho. I think they are equal.
@@geerstyresoil3136 not sure about equal since I like multiple target attacks but I do value the ability to clear poison and wound especially early in long scenarios

Agree, use it when it is most useful to get the cards you need for your next turn

Stam potion should be higher prosperity. Only high level characters should be able to abuse abilities.
lol would help some for sure
