FYI, curse on a target 3 (or 4!) ranged attack is arguably even better than on a huge AoE like Dirt Tornado, because it is very rare to hit more than three targets with an AoE - they don't line up perfectly for you very often; oftentimes you can only hit two. Whereas with ranged multi-target attacks, you can be pretty gaurenteed to be adding 3 curses to the monster deck per rest cycle. Use a stamina potion to repeat that near the beginning of a scenario, and you just make the whole scenario much easier for your whole party.
I don't know about better but target 4 is probably close to as powerful... most of the time. Not many cards though that have the kind of range that something like DT has at level 1 which is also what makes it so good. Thanks for watching!
I house rule diminishing returns on player activated curses and blesses. (looking at you music note!) 1st bless card costs 1 bless action. 2nd bless costs two bless actions (can accumulate in different turns/rounds and between players). resets when drawn. little more overhead to keep track of how many blesses and curses are out but seems to work well.
Poison or wound enhancement on 'Dirt Tornado' keeps it a bit more balanced for overall game play than the curse or disarm enhancement. Thanks for all the great content NNG.
Bless all allies will be sooo strong in FH, because summons will be more usefull. Imagine boneshaper has some skellies out and some other summoner in party. BTW, check Chronicles of Drunagor, comming again soon to Gamefound (KS alternative). Combat looks very tactical.
Yeah bless may be stronger and I hope it is so that more stuff is viable vs straight damage. I do have my eyes on Chronicles, was actually watching Rolling Solo yesterday as he has a giveaway. Go and check it out! BTW he has no idea who I am so not trying to push anything here lol, he's just one of the channels I actually watch consistently. The main concern I have about Chronicles is that I have heard it is too easy. I like games that are challenging!
Not at all! The decision to keep half of the cards as spoilers in JOTL does not apply to Gloomhaven. Jaws is a totally different type of experience that is far more linear so go ahead and look at all cards for a class in Gloomhaven. This will allow you to plan your build out ahead of time and help guide you on card picks!
I'm always struggling with the enhancement of a single attack. Shall I just add one attack? Or poison, wound, curse? I like to add a wound on a single attack in order to counter the high armor but I'm not sure how well it is compared to poison (I guess we don't add curse on a single right?)
I only have 7 missions of experience in JotL, so GH is still considered new to me, especially enhancement. I wonder what's the impact if totally ignoring enhancement...
Just a question. You mention “ heal all allies “ and you mention that there is “no range”. The ability card says “ all adjacent allies “, though. Adjacent does mean the hexes immediately bordering the character’s own hex, right?
yeah I didn't want to unnecessarily spoil an unlocked class so I just used the Craghearts card which is adjacent. Having no adjacency or range requirements though is ideal!
Come and watch me play Magic The Gathering: Arena!! The BEST decks to beat the meta!! ruclips.net/channel/UCXFLYWi1sEIbgSb-kYvssJg
ill miss your vids. need more of this.
Was literally looking for a video like this an hour ago. 😂
Nice, hope it was helpful!
@@neuralnetgames6540 👍it was… me & my group often forget about enhancements. Also I always enjoy your content.

Thanks so much! Poison or wound are definitely powerful but totally agree that they do not break the game like curse and disarm!

@@neuralnetgames6540 I have checked some gameplay videos and Rolling Solo video too :) Maybe Drunagor have some hard mode like Tainted Grail has.
@Viesturs Kokarevics Ya hopefully😀
Do you consider it spoilers looking ahead for future level cards? Jaws of The Lion made me very hesitant to look ahead in the base game.

Unfortunately some of these things will not be available if FH.

mostly you want to enhance multi target attacks and effects that target multiple allies!

You can easily progress through the game without enhancing if that's what you want!
