The AH531 is an amazing laptop... I still use mine daily and its been so easy to fix any issues I've had with it over the years - and I am a rank amateur when it comes to fixing computers... Owning this PC has taught me so much about the various components... Mind you at this stage its a bit like Trigger's broom as I have replaced the HDD with an SSD; Replaced the cd drive with a HDD bay; Upped the memory and swapped the i3 processor for an i7; Changed the WiFi card for one that could receive a 5ghz signal; and swapped the usb daughter board after the original one broke... The only thing I haven't fixed on it is a broken USB port on the motherboard, which needs soldering back on.

The soft music saved me having a heart attack, and it was going so well until 14.48 when you said "put back together".I will give it a go. About the clearest video I have ever seen, thank you.

Thank you very much for the instructional video! It saved my mother-in-law's AH531 regardless her laptop had a different situation. There was nothing wrong with the DC connector inside the laptop. When turning on, the power blue light was on for 2 seconds then it went off. I followed the whole process except soldering the wire, and I cleaned up all dust. The laptop is working again.

Exceptional video on the Fujitsu Laptop's design philosophy. Users can easily remove dust and fluff around the fan and air intake and ventilation parts.

The other day my Fujitsu Lifebook AH531 was running fine....until,without warning, it suddenly just stopped charging.
The plugged in charger was connected to the mains, it still showed LIVE (& I tested it with a multimeter & the charger was still putting charging output at around 19v or so).
But the laptop was STILL refusing to charge....
The battery soon died & in the end I had a totally dead laptop that refused to charge up on all batteries!.
A quick google search brought me to this, (your You Tube page), & I thought, 'well, I have nothing to lose, so I gave it a try'.
I followed it step by step.....& lo & behold I soon found a broken red wire sneakily hidden within the heat shrink sleeving on the charging port.
I quickly repaired it & reconnected it by means of Flux/Solder/Heat Sleeving etc & thankfully I now have a fully operational Laptop.
You have saved me a few quid, thanks pal.
    Spot on!...this repair works!
    Thanks once again.....Subbed!

I was convinced that this could not be the fault with my laptop as it was never abused by pulling the power cable out in the way I have seen done by other laptop users, therefore it had to be a power chip etc ?
Nevertheless I stripped it down using this brilliant video and found that the cables had parted from the back of the socket.
Having looked at the evidence (as well as all of these comments on this page) I am convinced that this is a manufacturing fault and should have been addressed by Fujitsu.

For people searching for the cable:
    Official parts number: LPJ1630FU
    Compatible partnumbers: CP483553-XX and DD0FS6AD00.
I bought a DD0FS6AD00 cable as it was way cheaper than the official part and it is a perfect match for my A531 (so NOT aH531) but I'm 100% certain that it will also fit that perfectly.

I wonder if this could be whats up with mine. I assumed it was the charger as if i hold the plug at a certain way it works. Brought a new charger and it made no difference so i guess its the port. Think i will be taking mine apart very soon.
    "edit"
Took me just under an hour and yes, that red wire just fell off the port, soldered on and all sorted now, so a big thank you for this. Glad i came across it as i was going to order a new charging port. As with any laptop when its apart, take the fan off and clean it and the metal grill thingy out of dust as they always get clogged up over time.
Once again, thank you, much appreciated.

Thanks for a great video. However I run into one PROBLEM. I cannot remove the optical R/W unit. After removing the one screw the unit is still tight in. Cannot take it out! It looks so easy in the video, but for me it is stuck in the laptop. HELP!

    • @diandana
      @diandana  4 года назад

Try removing the optical unit in the normal position of the laptop (keyboard up). If there is a dvd/cd inside the unit maybe it hangs somehow the unit . Maybe try to remove the dvd inside before trying to remove the unit. There is a small hole on the front of the unit. Normally the unit should come out easily

    • @diandana

+sebimk No i didn't, but I think you must disassemble the entire laptop to get acces to the BT board. I found some pictures with a AH530 BT board and seems to be between the back cover and the motherboard.

Hey there, i have the EXACT same laptop as that. When i turn it on i
just have a WHITE screen. completely white. i can't do anything with it,
although after about 2 mins, the screen goes black, then white again,
and then i can use the Fn keys and turn the brightness up and down. Just
as a Note, I can't even use an External monitor. Or maybe i don't know
how to enable it. Can you plug your Laptop into an external monitor with
a HDMI cable, restart the laptop, and tell me which buttons i have to
press to get the other screen to come on. As when i try it nothing
works, it just stays White. Can you help?

I have Lifebook ah532, it is showing problems for charging, I have replaced with new battery. Now the problem is that for every recharge I need to remove and replace the battery again and again. The laptop is working fine when plugged in without battery. The battery won't get recharged as normal when we plugged, but when I remove and replace it starts getting recharge.

    • @diandana

Try to isolate the problem. Take out the battery and check again, but you should also prepare for a motherboard fault.
