I’ve started paying for most things in cash now in the hope of getting £2 coins. What I’ve learnt is self service machines never have them… at least where I live. Self service seem to favour £1 , 50p and 20p coins.
I love how you say they are all rare with a few that are common. The mintage figures usually start from 250K up to many millions which means they are all as rare as muck.
I have that Guinea shield , the Shakespeare trio and the battleship, stil wanting the early steam strain and a better britannia. I use them for fillers for my other coin themes
There's no correct way round for the edge inscription, it's just random despite what many sellers claim, so unfortunately it's not an error nor worth any more than one the other way around. Great Fire of London is still a rare coin that's worth more than £2 to a collector though
Nope, we won't get any new £2 coins, we haven't had a circulating one for EIGHT YEARS. All the talk of ones being in the long store are in vain. Cash is dying out at an alarming rate and certainly the £2 is not in demand for circulating purposes.
@@Su-ri5ob yep. If you ask for them in your change wherever you are, you are more than likely going to get told we don't hold £2 coins. Getting then on an industrial scale like Christopher does from banks or Post Offices is the only real way you're going to run into regular commemoratives.
It's part of the plan to take cash away, so if you misbehave or think the wrong way, in the future, they will freeze your bank account. It's all coming, starmer the alarmer has plans...

I found a Jane Austin £2 coin in my change , I gave it to one of my young sons and told him not to spend it and why……hmmmmm he spent it 😂

Glad you finally ✅ off the Darwin I’m sure the 16’ Britannia & GFOL won’t be far behind 😊
Great stuff Christopher 👍🏻
I wonder if the oddly colored Two Pound coin is the NIFC precious metal version.

Wow
Where do you get the cards for your album to state what coins you looking for
6:22 Why is the insert top left showing Half Dickens / Half Darwin coin?
They are both "Charles" coins so one counter keeps both together for comparison.
If people want the new £2 coins start using cash and create demand.

Finally a Darwin. 2 golden guinea very nice
I don't want a complete set, just a few 6 at most. I can't be doing with Ebay, can your workplace fill that need?
Hi, I was just wondering how you went about getting your change? Do you have to be a business account holder? Thanks
i live in the US and they dont release the mintage figures here for like 4 or five years

£2 coins are like hen's teeth, I can't remember the last time I got one and I use cash wherever possible.
