40 years ago, Anyway during the 80's the iron bottle caps hadn't rusted away yet, The deeper older ones sounded just like IHP's. This has changed, What's left of those caps are just little hot spots. In the beginning, just before motion detecting, I worked a VLF TR machine, During those early years we set the discrimination up on high enough to knock's out pull tabs. No nickels, silver averages were 5 wheats 1 silver. Times have changed, Audio ID, Visual ID, Working with little to no discrimination. Many days I'd have to use both front pockets of my jeans, I had so many coins. Every night I filled up the Lortone rock tumbler to clean up every thing but the silver. Half dollars came much more often.
That English shotgun shell is called a pinfire cartridge. They also made pinfire cartridges for pistols. These are the predecessor of the center fire cartridges we use today. That pin sticking out of the side is the primer. The one you found is not fired. The pin primer would be flattened if it was fired. The primer had fulminate mercury in it as the primary explosive so don't hit it with a hammer. Lol
Nice bunch of buttons and cool key. That Fatty, Flying Eagle and Store Token were amazing. Any one of them would make my day, week and month lol. Good luck, happy hunting and take care.
I will say the same as I did last week. "SCHWING SCHWING". Missed that, but overall, as usual another great video with or without silver in the pouch. Can't find it everytime, even tho we all wish we could.
I saw a episode some days ago when you found a 2 öre Swedish coin 1907 I think.. Funny thing I found one too yesterday while I was going through some trash in my barn..keep digging. From Sweden
That shotshell with the pin sticking out is known as a pinfire. Very early. Predates the primers on the rear end as you probably figured out. Love ya guys!
Thank you Hoover boys 👍👍I always wait ever week for a new vid 🤞awesome effort you boys put in 🍻 I recently received my Hoover boys black hoodie and I must say I love it !! I told my wife this baby is not to go in the washing machine hand wash only!! So she’s too afraid to touch it now 🤣🤣🤣 displaying it in Australia with pride!!
Yeah.....the cut ins and overdubs are pure enjoyment. I would stick with that recipe for sure from time to time. Always enjoy your vids and entertaining hunts. Stay safe out there!
I have no problem watching your voice over vids !! You have a style all your own when exposing the treasures you and the guys have unearthed. Very enjoyable 👵🙂👍
First, I wanted to let you know that over the weekend I was watching your videos with my family. I figured my brother would be interested, but my sister was declaring that she was going to be bored the entire time. After the very first video she said let's watch another! She found them to be thoroughly entertaining, and she really enjoyed the voiceovers. Which leads to my second point. You do need to keep them even if they are artificially added every once in a while.
Not a bad day after all! Neat relics and Much's token was pretty cool. Definitely deserves another trip there. That silver is hiding, but its there. Thanks!
You’re getting so good at the voice overs I didn’t notice until you mentioned it. I second what another viewer mentioned; can’t wait for a voice over with Bob.
Great day guys! Kurt maybe you could get the missing "Hoovers" to do some of the dubs? I'm sure some Bobby Buttons or Billy would have some amusing commentary. Just a thought since they don't hunt too much anymore. Congrats and good luck on the next!!
The first Buffalo Nickel that I ever found was in my great grand mothers yard. That yard too had been detected before. The buff and one wheat cent were the only coins that I found that day. That was almost 40 years ago. Man, time really does pass by before you realize it. I love finding those old keys. Nice finds guys !!!
The Civil War Token was interesting. I think you guys found one of those before, if my memory serves me right. The Flying Eagles are always a good surprise find, IMO. Thanks for sharing your adventure. 😀
Great vid, but miss the rest of the boys. With Muck being camera shy, yours is the only mug in the video. :-) Keep it up, always interesting and informative.
I love the work that you do and especially the camaraderie which you share. Being a first responder, you understand the importance of getting things done. In that spirit, I’ve watched and liked 159-200 episodes. I reserve subscribing until you dig that elusive 20 cent piece. You understand. No participation trophies. 🙄
Great finds absolutely loved the skeleton key. All the doors in my house have locks from around the turn of the century. Related but off topic I was exploring an abandoned house in my neighborhood and found a skeleton key about the size of a normal key in the basement I tried every door in that house and it didnt go to any of them so I took it home the next day I decided to try it on my doors and it fit all of them.
Suggestion for future audio dubs: get the old gang together and voice over each other. Kurt as brad: “sounds like old priceless gold coin, imma grab my hatchet...”
Very cool, love the voice overs man glad to hear you’re going to add them as a regular feature or irregular feature 😂 either way all good, great hunt and great video thanks!
fields planted, back to yards, hahaha... good hunt, most the time i show/ give home owners stuff, they tell me there goen to get a machine and i cant hunt no more
Kurt and the gang, yep, that is a great farm to keep going back to if you get a few "No's" Nice to know even you big time channels get some no's door knocking, not just me, LOL. Another great hunt guys!!! Take Care. Rob FlThunder
You guys are absolutely amazing I love the fines and someday I hope to join the ranks as I am getting my feet wet so to speak with a pinpointer and a magnet fishing kit
That last fancy button almost looks like a purposely bent love token . With that S shape like the one you found in the UK 🇬🇧. It would not surprise me to see those bent love tokens show up here in the States and Canada. I think a couple have been found. Anyways, good hunting 👍
I am a loyal subscriber and I really didn't mind this at all I'll watch your videos anytime I can hang in there technical difficulties can be managed love your Channel
Some much less exciting hunts could be made allot more hilarious with your voice overs !!! Keep up all the good work love all your videos still ketchuping from your beginning’s.
It is definitely funny listening to trying to remember what was said at that time knowing you have know clue and by the way kirk your kids are growing like weeds it just blows my mind how fast our kids grow up i know myself it's hard to believe i have a 28,24,19and a 9 year old myself plus a 4 year old granddaughter time goes so fast well anyways ty for another great video and God bless you and your family my friend and all the rest of the hoover boys and their families and yes even mucks boots👢lol
Brother y’all might not have got much for coins but there was some nice stuff. I watch a guy in Germany and he finds a few of the pin fire shotgun end caps and cartridges. I don’t mind the voice over as long as you’re pulling things out of the ground
I live about 1/2 hour south east of Marshall. My 3rd great grandfather migrated to Calhoun county from new york in 183. I assume they traveled back and forth.

I love the voice overs - Swing, swing, swing, BEEP, BEEP! I wish I had your originality in thinking this stuff up.
Just bought an AT Max. Was walking by the box today and there was a picture of someone metal detecting. Looked so familiar. It was B-Rad! Very cool.
I like them. Quick thinking Curt. Ya make um funny.
Nice bunch of buttons and cool key. That Fatty, Flying Eagle and Store Token were amazing. Any one of them would make my day, week and month lol. Good luck, happy hunting and take care.
I will say the same as I did last week. "SCHWING SCHWING".

Kurt, the moments you are doing the audio and back ground noises are so funny! Love you guys!
Love that skeleton key & English shot shell head stamp. Y'all got some nice coins & relics as well. I vote to keep some voice overs in the mix!
I saw a episode some days ago when you found a 2 öre Swedish coin 1907 I think.. Funny thing I found one too yesterday while I was going through some trash in my barn..keep digging. From Sweden
The audio voice work is great. Beats losing all your hard work. Keep the amazing videos coming
That shotshell with the pin sticking out is known as a pinfire. Very early. Predates the primers on the rear end as you probably figured out. Love ya guys!

Another fun episode!! Keep em coming and definately keep throwing some voice overs in.
Congrats on all the buttons. You all have great fun digging. Happy digging and eat your lunch
I always press like when you open the fridge! I know the content won't ever let me down! Thanks from the UK :)
You guys still managed to fill the board with a nice variety of stuff and things! 10 to go! LFOD!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Very enjoyable Kurt and Muck! Another flying eagle? I'm jelly! 😀👍
Yes. Please more voice overs. We need the schwing!

That is awesome! Thanks Tim

I have been enjoying the voice over work Kurt. Some nice finds on the day. Happy hunting and be well
Never disappointed!
I was wondering if that key fit the house door. The key was my favorite.
Great day guys! Kurt maybe you could get the missing "Hoovers" to do some of the dubs? I'm sure some Bobby Buttons or Billy would have some amusing commentary. Just a thought since they don't hunt too much anymore. Congrats and good luck on the next!!
That civil war token is from. My neck of the woods,Madison Wisconsin! Neat find
Madisonian here. Do we have spots worth digging up here? I thought all the fun historical stuff would be down south
@@jamiemaynard9258 absolutely! Old maps are a big help too, there’s history everywhere l,you just gotta put in the work to find it
Is the location of the shop known? Be fun to see how far the tokens traveled.
Nice hunt and yes the voiceovers have been very enjoyable and for someone to take a technical difficulty and salvage it into a desirable outcome 👍🏼💯

The Civil War Token was interesting. I think you guys found one of those before, if my memory serves me right.

Great vid, but miss the rest of the boys. With Muck being camera shy, yours is the only mug in the video. :-) Keep it up, always interesting and informative.
*The "reigns guide" looks like a broken boot spur!* 13:30
I agree.
I wish there was a group of guys like you in my area to go Detecting with, you guys are great 👍
I love the work that you do and especially the camaraderie which you share. Being a first responder, you understand the importance of getting things done. In that spirit, I’ve watched and liked 159-200 episodes. I reserve subscribing until you dig that elusive 20 cent piece. You understand. No participation trophies. 🙄
You made audio problems funny. Shwing , Shwing.
That's a good day hunting still! Permissions are hard to come by in these parts.
Thank you for all your hard work and yes I like voice over.
Wow! What are the odds!
Great hunt, loving the voice overs..lol. Stay safe and good luck on your next hunt!
I've grown to love the "schwing schwing" sound effects, so if you do keep any voice overs in the videos you should at least do a few of those haha
I was impressed by the 12-bore Eley pin fire cartridge. Believe it to be quite rare.
Yup, 1830's. Not even common in the UK really. I guess I find one pinfire to 350 normal shotgun shells, on English fields

Darn it Kurt. I was beginning to wonder what was up.
Gag is on the Corporation. I'm watching on the clock! Sweet!
Nice permission. I enjoyed the video as usual. Thanks!
Thanks for the video and voice over Lol 😆😎🐓🐓🇬🇧
Awesome relic hunting🤘🏻
That's my jam😎
Audio improvement... especially over any Brad dig, or eating, and fishing too.
Maybe call him Smuck... Silent Muck... yeah 2021 has been saved.
Id watch your vids even without sound, so no worries! But do really like the sound overs!
Is there a prize for spotting the misspelling of plantation at 0:21? Lol. Great hunt as usual guys.
Nice day with some good digs. Congrats
I finally Shazammed the music at the end and it is titled “Kurt “. 😎😉
Great job
Swing, Swing ,Swing , lolz can't get that out of my head. Looks like a perfectly good hunt to me, lots of coppa's and relics ( ;
You should do a "Bad Lip Reading" episode.
I bet it would be hilarious!
You should so re-dub Muck every episode!!! But gotta finish every sentence with 'Yes Sir'
Great hunt guys, cool Civil War token!
And then you find a Civil War store token from my end of the woods... weeeird.
That reins guide you said Kurt at top of mucks finds looked more like a spur
You guys are absolutely amazing I love the fines and someday I hope to join the ranks as I am getting my feet wet so to speak with a pinpointer and a magnet fishing kit
Ive been checking the phone since 11:00 this morning looking forward to todays video. Another great one! The token and key are too cool!
Great saves Kurt and Muck!!
Awesome hunt guys, great place, did I hear you say you have a nox,
That last fancy button almost looks like a purposely bent love token .
Worried I wasn't gonna get a hover boys video today.
Same here mild panic!!
Sounds good kurt add some voice overs in now and then like them
You could stage a future voice over like an old Godzilla movie and run!
Some much less exciting hunts could be made allot more hilarious with your voice overs !!! Keep up all the good work love all your videos still ketchuping from your beginning’s.
That thing with the 2 holes in lobes and flat about 2 and a half inch flat center strip with the holeis part of the ignition for a Model T.
The over dubs are awesome
Nice on the civil war store card and pinfire shotshell head.
Those are still some fun finds 😎
Good times right there!
Awesome finds guys!
Thanks Curt
I feel like I just watched an old Kung Fu movie 😂
😉😂😂
It is definitely funny listening to trying to remember what was said at that time knowing you have know clue and by the way kirk your kids are growing like weeds it just blows my mind how fast our kids grow up i know myself it's hard to believe i have a 28,24,19and a 9 year old myself plus a 4 year old granddaughter time goes so fast well anyways ty for another great video and God bless you and your family my friend and all the rest of the hoover boys and their families and yes even mucks boots👢lol
I’m all jacked up on Mountain Dew!
I've seen all your equipment identified, but never the mesh you use in your water sifters. Where do you get it? Please explain, thanks, Dave
Brother y’all might not have got much for coins but there was some nice stuff. I watch a guy in Germany and he finds a few of the pin fire shotgun end caps and cartridges. I don’t mind the voice over as long as you’re pulling things out of the ground
Marshall. Michigan is located in the south central part of the state, and is an historic little town. Wonder how the token made its journey east.
I live about 1/2 hour south east of Marshall. My 3rd great grandfather migrated to Calhoun county from new york in 183. I assume they traveled back and forth.
Keep Cutting in....dig it all😉😂🤣
👍😊✌🇦🇺
Great hunt!! Thanks!!!
Great memory for voice over
