Irene thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your knowledge and wisdom.
Only after finding your videos I understood what’s happening to me, I’m coming out of functional freeze, after I decided to practice slowing down, resting and being more present to my needs and sensations in my body.
After your explanation how you work with internal organs something clicked in my adrenals occasionally now I feel sort of vibration or flapping in that area, dose that mean the organ is coming back to live ?

Can anger (fight) be a secondary response to freeze?
I’m still trying to figure out if I’m in freeze mode. I usually feel that response with my daughter when she lashes out. Like a deer in headlights, then the fight response wants to exorcise itself due to the sense of powerlessness in the moment.
    Thanks!

In my experience, if you suspect you are in a freeze, you are in a freeze. When you are regulated, you will know it. You need more time and practice. You will easily distinguish freeze and you will eventually will stop getting into freeze. I tell you because I've been there just half a year ago. Read my another comment here. 😊

Dear Irene, last October i started watching your videos. I started doing orienting, other somatic exercises. All by myself because I couldn't afford to pay SBSM. I'm much better now, my nervous system is much more resilient. Though I can see much childhood trauma which doesn't leave me. But at last I can go to a supermarket without crying because of a constant alertness. So thank you.

Hello, Sophia here from Team Lyon. Thank you for your comment and your appreciation of Irene's work.
What we often recommend to folks, who may not be able to jump into the paid programs right away, is to look at Irene's free and low-cost resources, mentioned below. This is a fantastic way to start the process of rewiring the nervous system.
      Blog
Irene’s blog is a wealth of information and full of fantastic articles (irenelyon.com/blog/) and her RUclips channel offers even more content in video format (ruclips.net/user/IreneLyon).
Additionally, something that you may want to take a look at is a RUclips playlist with practical exercises: (please note these videos are not a direct replacement for the work within the courses)

      Drop-In Classes
The Drop-In Classes are focused on learning how to naturally let go of stress and tension - all via the lens of the somatic and autonomic nervous system. The intent will be to bring in more space and ease throughout the entire body by practicing the basics of nervous system embodiment, via Irene’s skills as a Somatic Experiencing, Somatic Practice and Feldenkrais practitioner. You can read more about them, and register here - irenelyon.com/drop-in-class-1.
      Free Downloads
In addition to the blog posts, Irene has also compiled some free downloads, which cover a range of topics. If you're looking to dive into some e-books, audio programs and longer form content, that's where you'll want to go. You can find those here - irenelyon.com/free-resources-2/.

About freeze response, If you don't know whether you are in a freeze or not, you ARE in a freeze response. It means you need more practice and then you will get out of this freeze slavery. It is a slavery untill you get enough regulation. ❤just practise every single day. Every day! It takes time.

I advise to all people who are in constant fight flight to do gluten tests and even I it's negative, try gluten free diet. It is awful how gluten can cause fight flight if you are allergic. I advise to check histamine intolerance for the same reason. They both cause fight flight. Its a disaster 😢

The function freeze and flight, how to process it in our,I feel like that at times,I hope it's just the bio thing that I went through. But I feel like moving, I feel like it's perceived wrong, like, as a running away. Do it's gon come back again or should I expect something new but good? Sexual it's something tirering

@KebaabetswePhithi, Jen here from Irene's Team. Part of learning to work with the nervous system includes learning to recognize and work with the survival responses such as the impulse to feel (which may look like running away) or to fight. As we do this, we typically notice something changing. These changes may be clear, or they may be subtle.
If we don't notice this, it can be a sign that we may need to grow foundational nervous system regulation and capacity, or to titrate more.
Irene talks about some of these concepts on her RUclips channel and she teaches people to work with their own nervous systems in her 21 Day Nervous System Tune Up self-study course and SmartBody SmartMind program. I'll share a few links so you can learn more if you like.
