  • 🏂🧥 Volcom TDS Infrared Jacket vs. TDS 2L Infrared Jacket: Ultimate Review & Comparison! 🧥🏂
Hey there, snowboarders and gear enthusiasts! Buckle up for an in-depth review and head-to-head comparison of the Volcom TDS Infrared Jacket and the Volcom TDS 2L Infrared Jacket. We're diving deep into the world of premium snowboarding outerwear to help you make the perfect choice for your epic mountain adventures.
In this video, we're breaking down the features fit and sharing our overall thoughts on these two phenomenal jackets that promise unmatched comfort, incredible warmth, and unbeatable build quality.
    Features & Comfort:
Hold onto your boards because the TDS Infrared Jacket and the TDS 2L Infrared Jacket are about to rock your world! These jackets deliver unparalleled comfort that'll have you questioning your entire outerwear collection. The wrist gaiters are strong and insanely comfy, offering the protection and flexibility you need for those mind-bending tricks. And let's give a shoutout to the ingenious zip tech that ensures your pants and jacket are a seamless, snowproof match.
🔊 And guess what? There's a whistle built right into the main zipper pull! It's those little things that show Volcom's got our backs.
    Warmth & Insulation:
Let's talk warmth-the TDS Infrared Jacket packs an 80/20 duck down and 600-fill insulation, wrapping you in comfort on even the chilliest days. Conversely, the TDS 2L Infrared Jacket comes with 40g Quilted Low-Loft Insulation, offering versatility without compromising warmth.
    Fit & Style:
Comfort goes hand in hand with fit, and both jackets nail it. A roomy collar keeps your neck warm without that claustrophobic feel. And the fit? Just right. I'm 6'2", 210 pounds with an athletic build, and I'm repping the Large size. It's that sweet spot between freedom and snugness.
    The Oops Moment:
Before you get into the video, let me own up to a hilarious mistake. I accidentally called the TDS 2L Infrared Jacket a "TDL" jacket-my bad, but let's roll with it! Sometimes, even we snowboarders have our goofy moments, right?
    Insight into the Jackets:
The TDS Infrared Jacket has this magic combination of being warmer while feeling lighter on you. It's like slipping into a cloud of coziness. On the flip side, the TDS 2L Infrared Jacket offers a warm embrace without being as insulated. It's equipped with a mesh interior because, you guessed it, it's a 2L jacket!
    Extra Features:
Let's dive into the extras. Both jackets have the same pockets for your essentials, but the TDS Infrared Jacket has an ace up its sleeve-a secret stack Balaclava hidden in the hood. And that's not all; Recco technology adds a layer of safety to this beast.
Now, the TDS 2L Infrared Jacket, or as I so affectionately referred to it, the "TDL," is armed with 2L GORE-TEX and a mesh liner inside for maximum breathability. Both jackets also boast armpit zips and the trusty ziptech system.
In conclusion, whether you're leaning towards the toasty warmth and 600 fill insulation of the TDS Infrared Jacket or the adaptability of the "TDL" (I'm sticking with it!) 2L Infrared Jacket with its 40g Quilted Low-Loft Insulation, you're diving into a world of top-tier comfort, style, and performance.

I agree the zip tech is probably the best reason to buy Volcom snow gear. It makes so much of a difference, I have a heavy snow jacket and a light jacket that can easily be swapped and zipped to the same pants. Snow up you back or butt just sucks.

ya man! its so nice! I said id never have pants only again (just bibs) but because of the ziptech I added a pair of Volcom Guide pants because I don't have to worry about ever getting wet/cold with it!

Hey Jeff thanks for the video. I'm currently in a predicament. I have purchased the Volcom Guch 3L stretch jacket on sale for $270. I've never tried a shell before and I don't do back country. I was wondering while I still have time to return it and if I should get the TDS 2L jacket for $250. I know the Volcom Guch jacket is worth more but I'm undecided if I'd get more value out of the insulated jacket, thanks!

That's a tough one! It’s def nicer to not have to layer as much if you don’t want. The guch looks like the tds inferred jacket but without the insulation. The 2l vs 3l is gonna be different to as mentioned in the video cause of the mesh.
