I got this helmet but debating between this one and the MET parachute MCR. Any thoughts?
I have not looked at the MET helmet, but it seems comparable. If I found one for a reasonable price, I might snag one up, or if I tried it on in person and it fit better. However, no complaints or reasons to look at alternative helmets in my case.
How does this dash cam sustain heat (hot weather)? Does it have capacitors or lithium batteries?
Good question - to be honest, im not sure on the battery question, I actually don't think there is a battery in it, as its directly plugged into the mirror power. However, heat wise I've not had any issues with it at all. Even being in direct sunlight all day, in both my vehicles no problems.

Audio is almost intolerable
Jeep gives a lot for the money, but as always, their quality control is awful. Quick glance at your video and where the two stitched seams meet under the start/stop button are misaligned. That looks awful. Good luck with the tow in for the check engine light being on.

Size L - 220, 6'2. I wear a ninja suit and typically a Polartec fleece pullover. I've really enjoyed it. These jackets this season. no complaints

how do you like it?
Just installed mine and so far everything works great. Slight fitment issue with mine since there is a small gap between the window and plastic, but other than that, cant complain.
I agree the zip tech is probably the best reason to buy Volcom snow gear. It makes so much of a difference, I have a heavy snow jacket and a light jacket that can easily be swapped and zipped to the same pants. Snow up you back or butt just sucks.
ya man! its so nice! I said id never have pants only again (just bibs) but because of the ziptech I added a pair of Volcom Guide pants because I don't have to worry about ever getting wet/cold with it!
You ever got a chance to do the riding review?
I haven't been filming while riding, but it's incredibly comfortable and light. Weight. And doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything on my head like prior helmets. I definitely recommend picking one up if you can find it for a reasonable price. It's an excellent helmet all around.

After trying multiple Wireless carplay adapters like this, seems this one is a "bit" better but my 2018 Audi Q5 still drops connection freqently with my iPhone 14 Pro. Waze (GPS) freezes, music stops and Carplay disconnects, only way to get it going again is to unplug this unit from USB power, wait 5 seconds and plug it back in - Carplay connects again after about 1-2 minutes. Based on my limited testing, this seems to be an issue with interfearence from other wifi or BT signals around me. When driving in my large city in rush hour traffic, it disconnects frequently, but when driving in rural areas it rarely disconnects (if ever). Also my iPhone 14 Pro shows a very weak RSSI wifi signal (-85db) to the adapter even though its less then 1ft away from the phone. Again, this RSSI gets alot better when im not in busy areas or fewer cars are around me. Its quite annoying when you are trying to follow GPS directions and it crashes, but as of yet i havent found a better one then this device. But i can say, my screen only lags for about 3-5 seconds upon startup. Issue seems the same in my wifes car (VW) when shes driving in the city or in traffic vs rual areas. So just an FYI in case you plan to use this wireless carplay in very busy areas with alot of other cars or close buildings with strong Wifi or BT signals, it seems it will d/c a lot.
Thanks so much for reviewing this unit and saving me time an money. Connection time of 15 seconds seem good, but not impressed with how the display screen lag. I'm thinking I will pass. I have yet to find an adapter that performs well. Anyone have any better suggestions?
So after using it for a few months now, the sync time is almost instant, I believe the slow link initially (as it was its 2nd time connecting) was really just the system getting working. Beyond that, the slowest its connected is less than 5 seconds and pretty much works everytime. Ive been a fan of it so its stayed in use since the review.

Hey Jeff thanks for the video. I'm currently in a predicament. I have purchased the Volcom Guch 3L stretch jacket on sale for $270. I've never tried a shell before and I don't do back country. I was wondering while I still have time to return it and if I should get the TDS 2L jacket for $250. I know the Volcom Guch jacket is worth more but I'm undecided if I'd get more value out of the insulated jacket, thanks!
That's a tough one! It’s def nicer to not have to layer as much if you don’t want. The guch looks like the tds inferred jacket but without the insulation. The 2l vs 3l is gonna be different to as mentioned in the video cause of the mesh.

Thanks but the negative point is on my Toyota Yaris Hybrid, brand new, it cannotbe reckognized when pushing the voice command key on the wheel, have to go to the screen, this is not good at all. It says, no device reckognized. This is really bad, since this is essential
talk through siri and it will work without needing the buttons. But it might be the Toyota interface and not the doggle.
How is it holding up? Also, will it work with a 23 Limited that has the rearview mirror/camera? Also, is the parking alert functional? Does it supply constant power to the camera when parked? Thanks.
Should work fine with that model as long as you get the right model - A/B. Holding up well. I haven’t had an incident where it got bumped and was turned on some honestly not sure

YEP! I still use the binize one alot whenever I want to watch movies or stream any video, but just due to the time delay to get into the carplay app its not my favorite for daily use, so I use my carlink 5.0 and its great!

That lag is pretty terrible...
about 10 seconds or less, most the time, its on before I shift into gear and go.
The lag for the screen delay has resolved and is smooth and quick no lag or choppiness like the first few minutes of it being installed
Do the steering wheel buttons still work with the Binize? And does it play videos while driving?
Yep! Controls to change volume song etc all work the same. Video in motion works as well! I added a Bluetooth keyboard to make typing easier but otherwise it basically turns your display into an android tablet

Why can't I use my phone instead of these? You have to connect these to your phone anyway, it would be faster to eliminate the middleman.
Because I don’t want to connect cords - this is a wireless option to remove needing to take anything out of your pocket but still CarPlay connecting

its super smooth and easy to grab a card from the middle, almost like a card dealer would lay them out and grab one - if it wasn't smooth, (which has been my fault pushing it back down) ill push them down and reopen it to grab and its perfect
