- Labour's Sadiq Khan has secured a historic third term as London mayor, seeing off Tory challenger Susan Hall.
He received 1,088,225 votes (43.8%) to be re-elected, a majority of nearly 276,000 over
Ms Hall, who secured 812,397 votes (32.7%).
He says 'I will be there for all Londoners whether you vote for me or not' and with a Labour mayor working with a Labour government 'London will see a transformed city'.

With ULEZ, Congestion Charge, 50% parking surcharge and now Hackney putting my parking permit up to £550 /year for on-street parking, I can not afford to live here any more. Despite the advertising to vote postal I have yet to dscover how many of these notorious choices were taken up. People outside of London have no idea what's happened to the capital. I moved to my birth city Bath about 8 years ago and enjoy a better quality of life. Unfortunately, thousands of other people had the same idea and the housing market has gone crazy with middle class Londoners escaping the crime wave. I talked to an estate agent and it's a shocking situation. I can be in Bristol in 11 minutes or London in 1.5 hrs.
