SUNK FLOAT PATERNOSTER

Des Taylor takes a look at the Sunk Float Paternoster rig. Ideal for both deadbaits and livebaits, this rig presents a bait off the bottom and held in position so that the bait is always where you want it.
By using a sunk float the rig is not effected by wind or undertow, and the main line is held away from any weed or snags. Bite indication is provided by a drop-off indicator and bite alarm (if required) to give both visual and audible indication of a take.
You can use this rig in both rivers and lakes, but make sure that the leger weight is large enough to hold the rig in position - we normally recommend a minimum of 2oz (60grams).
Always use this rig with an uptrace to avoid any potential risk of bite-offs.

Can we have some 8mm beads with fine bore internal hole , approx twice diameter of 18 pound mono . 0.40 x 2 max less than 1 mm .
Noticed pike pro beads are 5 mm. Which will fly back through tip eye an back towards reel .
This could prove fatal if have fish lifetime an bead goes onto spool .
Also can there be choice colours maybe yellow an red as option to black ?
Or multi coloured pack option

is it worth having balsa sticks or any sort for popping up the bait? or it'll be OK how it is?

There's no need to put balsa or any kind of buoyancy into the bait. It will dangle in the upper water collumn. It's super effective on gravel pits and the line from the ground to the bait should at least be 2m long. Therefore you'll need a boat or baitboat to get it to the spot

It's not exactly pike friendly if your mainline snaps/gets cut off etc,no way is your trace fitting over the swivel to your mainline, basically the pike then is trailing a trace with hooks on and a up trace of wire as well,unless I've got it completely wrong,can anyone help?
