Just helpful advice, if you're gonna put Jeffs voice on a track, atleast let us hear it. It's literally the only reason I gave this band a chance and ya'll blew it. Hell I wouldn't mind if it was lower than the kaosis vocalist but you literally can't hear it at all......and I know Jeffs voice, been listening to Mushroomhead 20+ years. Really doesn't give me much hope in giving the MFKR album a listen.
Mix engineers have their own ears and opinions on what sounds good. It is what it is and we respect you for taking the time to check it out and that you have an opinion :)

We are all for it - we have some other huge names on the record and it would be great to see what creativity people can bring to those songs too ;)

The records are currently being remastered. FYI EDM stands for Electronic Dance Music, the breakdown that Anders delivers his feature on has a synth arrangement but it is definitely not EDM. EDM is for example, David Guetta or Zedd. Not trying to troll you, but this information might help you make more transparent points in the future. Have a great day killer!

Well after battling with the blasted ambient mode setting, sound/mixing was so much better. Once I was able to turn that stupid setting off, was able to hear everyone very nicely. Nice amounts of chills. Like it.

Lol you can't "fix" the song but you can potentially remix the song. Those stems will be made available next year once the album comes out. We have ten more songs for people to complain about before then haha. But seriously, thanks for taking the time to listen. The main vocals sound recorded in a bathroom full of tiled walls.
It it was more crisp and clear i believe the vocals would cut through much better.

Why so much negativity in the comments? This is dope.
Largely because traffic is being pushed from press and social media ads. They aren't converted fans and haters always have the loudest voices. 3.3k views, 101 likes, zero dislikes - people love to flex in the comments. Personally, I openly embrace the haters, they drive the algorithm so much harder than the neutrals haha.

Never heard of you guys before this. Randomly stumbled across it in an article. Can't complain? Sounds how I expected it to. Fits the genre. love the image. Nice cheeky solo. Cool collab. Might have been nice for each vocalist to have a solo section just to showcase the diversity, particularly if the structure of the track changed to emphasise. but that's probably my prog tendancies talking. gonna try and give some constructive criticisms here. my feelings about the music video, the songwriting, and the overall aesthetic choices of this band aside, the mix is objectively terrible. bass too low, keys too high, vox way too low on certain points, the drums sound dry, the effects on the vox sound just straight-up stupid. also, this song did NOT need 4 choruses. i appreciate that you guys are so cool with all the hate in the comments, while personally i am not a fan of this in the slightest, i respect you guys for taking the hate so well. i just would recommend getting someone more experienced to mix your tracks moving forward, and maybe find someone else to make your music videos.
I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. What you are talking about is subjective criticism, not constructive criticism or objective criticism. You make assumptions based on your personal feelings about the track and songwriting. This is how I wanted it to sound. I like synths, I like processed vocals (as it appears you do?) and you may not think the song needed 4 choruses but that is how I chose to write the song. If you take time to notice that hook melody is repeated and drilled into the listeners' head on multiple instruments. We want this stuff to be memorable. FYI I am very experienced with mixing and have a degree for SAE in audio engineering I had a look at the "nightcore" track. It's interesting. I can see why you think the bass it too low in this song. It probably is for a glitch track but its most definitely not for a rock song (in my opinion). I like the anime vibe of the song. We used Premiere and element 3D for the creation of these videos. The hype dancers are part of the band, they are not just dancing on the side. It is not attract more people. We take influence from Pop music where having dancers is part of everyday production. This is all created in house. We are proud of what we accomplished with no industry or financial support. Yeah, they pulled influence if you are a listener and not a player of music then I can see your perspective. But it's just very similar. NU metal just like pop music, Jazz, Prog... They all follow a structure. Even bands off of the normal music path, ie. Mr. Bungle, Frank Zappa, The Residents all "sound like the others" in the genre. But good eye. Or as a British guy would say "goo'day"

@KaosisOfficial You really need to work on songwriting skills. If you did I think you could go a long way. And the mixing.
Can you give me an example of what you consider to be good songwriting? This song has a fairly traditional rock structure. There is a verse, a prechorus, and a repetitive hook for the chorus. To break tradition we have two breakdowns instead of one. I would go so far as to say that this song structure is about as industry standard as it gets. The arrangement may not be to your liking as it has a lot of synths and guitars are part of the sound design and not a featured instrument outside of the solo. Mixing is subjective - I have a degree in audio engineering and this was mastered by Howie Weinberg who has 2,257 mastering credits, three TEC Awards, 21 Grammy Awards, two Juno Awards, and one Mercury Prize to his name. Where did you come across us btw? Feel free to send me some song titles that you consider to be good songwriting so I can see where you are coming from. @KaosisOfficial I think the form of the song is perfectly fine. I actually enjoy the form. It's lyrics, riffs and drums that I don't think are the greatest. Mostly lyrics they do feel kind of dry. I personally don't like the way its mixed but like you said it is subjective
So you like the song structure but not the drums, lyrics or riffs. Okay well, the drums were performed by Jeremiah from Hed PE and the Guitars were written by myself and Peredur from Pendulum. Apologies but what are we being judged against? It would really make a great deal of difference if I knew what you consider good - you could be into Technical Deathmetal which would really end this discussion as what you are expecting from us is far from what we are trying to deliver. I'd really be interested to also know if the youtube algorithm sent this track to you or if you were referred from other content. The software we actually used was adobe after effects, element 3d, photoshop and final cut pro X. We wish it was as easy as using a tic tok filter. We also use immortal masks not party haul. All of our work is self funded and independently created. We are proud of the work we have done as an independent artist. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
