Well I think you gave me my next project for me and my wife, she LOVES Halloween, and she LOVES houses that are all decked out. Not sure how our new neighborhood is at Halloween, but we are going to find out lol Amazing project, thank you for sharing
Glad that you liked it Randy. Good luck to you and your wife on your Reaper project. I hope she enjoys it. Thanks for tuning in to the show. (I'd love to see a picture of your finished project)
Sure, why not? Sewing is a whole lot of fun. I made a replica of a Conestoga wagon years ago and I had to sew the canvas for the covered section of the wagon. I even sewed burlap to make the grain and feed bags. I loved it and my wife was jealous of how I could sew a perfectly straight hem. I think that the practice on the scroll saw made me better at the sewing machine. I don't do it often, but I do enjoy it when I sew. Thanks for tuning in Rose and for taking the time to leave your comment. I truly appreciate it.
When you make as many things and large decorations as I do Jim, you HAVE to have storage in mind when creating something new. It's the first question my wife asks when I run a show idea past her....."and where are you going to put THIS one?" LOL. Thanks for tuning in to the show and taking the time to leave your comment. It's very much appreciated.
Nice work. One thing I've done to reduce the weight of my projects last like this is I fill the bottom half of my bucket with dirt, sand or concrete, set my post and then fill the top half with expanding foam. It keeps the post steady, provides the weight to hold the proo in place and saves my back from having to transport 50 lbs of concrete
Who wouldn't be enthusiastic about Halloween? LOL. It's the best season of the year. Thanks for tuning Jeff and for taking the time to leave the kind words.
Hi Kenny, great project. I like how you got your measurements from mrs reaper. Hope you didn’t put a screw through her head for testing purposes for the skull 🤣🤣🤣
LOL. She was fine with being my measurement model but I think she would draw a line at getting screws drilled into her skull. LOL. Thanks for tuning in to the show Philip.
My partner just showed me this on his computer, and I had to go on mine immediately so I could give it a thumbs up & save it to my "static props" playlist. The way you planned out how to make it easy to store is brilliant!
I'm glad that you liked the video Susan. I posted a video at the end of last year showing a little of our Halloween display. If you are interested, you can find it here. ruclips.net/video/5bRqLpWts2E/видео.html It might give you some ideas for your own display. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
If using an old coat hanger is the method that you choose, then by all means, use an old coat hanger. Thanks for tuning in and good luck with your project.
Every year the display gets larger Joel. I think I'm going to need a second house to store all of the decorations for my current house. LOL. Maybe we will see some pictures on the channel's Facebook page this year. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
This is so cool, I could see it being in the yard leading up to Halloween and then Halloween night replacing it with a person, hahaha. The kids would have seen it for a few days and you could surprise them so easy, lol so much fun. Another awesom build, Thanks for sharing.
That is an absolutely spectacular idea Brian. I love it. I'm glad that you liked the show. I hope you try to make this for yourself one day. Thanks for tuning in.
@@acutabove_woodworkings Although I really appriciate Halloween decorations we focuss more on Christmas. We live on a corner lot on the river so we get to decorate the front side and back yards and yes a LED video tree on the end of the dock lol. It is so much fun to do and to listen to the young kids when they go by is priceless, which I am sure you get as well on your yard at Halloween.
That was another great project and being able to disassemble it for storage makes it even better. Hahahaha I do hope Mr. Reaper stays on your side of the St. Lawrence River. I maybe old, but I'm not ready to meet him yet lol. Fun to watch as always! Take care!
Kenny, what a great statue. It looks awesome. All you need is a way to make it smell…lol. It will go great with the tombstones you made a few years back. This was a great design.
Glad that you liked it Paul. Definitely a lot of fun. I considered making it "smell" but didn't think a nose would look right on a skeleton face. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. (I think that was a Dad joke). Thanks for tuning in sir. I truly appreciate it.
Awesome, now just need to add lights in the eyes linked to a motion sensor bit of:smoke/ mist and a scream and no one will bother you for trick or treat!
And by doing that Newton, that would mean more candy for ME!!!!! LOL. But then I wouldn't get to see the kids have fun. Now I'm torn. LOL. Thanks for tuning in to the show this week and for leaving the kind words.
Halloween isn't for everyone Mark. I enjoy the children's reactions and their excitement throughout the night. My wife and I have a lot of fun at Halloween. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
Great build Kenny looks great, it's just that your Wife will now know she is the same height and pose as the Grim Reaper ha ha ha. I have seen your 'How to' videos on making the Gravestones for your own graveyard, when both you and your wife were thinking of the names to put on them ha ha ha. Stay Safe, Barry (ENG)
Glad that you liked it Barry. This was definitely a fun project. It's a good thing that Mrs Earrings is a good sport when it comes to my projects and my show. LOL. Thanks for tuning in this week.
Your trials with that bucket reminds me of the movie "The Board and the Stone" aaahhh I kill me. What about red led's for the eyes?? Oh and great project.
That would be awesome Richard. I may have to look into that for sure. For the record, I believe that the board could only be removed from the stone by someone who was worthy. I guess that makes me worthy. LOL. Thanks for tuning in and for the chuckle. It's appreciated.
That is a fantastic idea Richard. With this whole "social distancing" thing that's been going on during the pandemic, we made a candy chute last years that had an illuminated skull at the end of it. So the children could hold out their treat bags and my wife could send candy through the chute and it would exit out of the skull's mouth and into their bag. It was really well received but I also like this idea about the candy bucket from the Reaper. Thanks for tuning in and for taking the time to chime in with your suggestion.
Glad to have you aboard Tony. I will add the coffin to the list of future shows. Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words. Good luck on your project.

@@acutabove_woodworkings so im thinking of working on making a Custom of a hooded figure with both hands holding a pumpkin with yellow LEDS for eyes and a rain deer motor that will allow motion from side to side any tips?
@@thephantomhaunter5454 The best tip I can give on this one is keep the frame simple but strong. Make sure that it can hold the weight of the pumpkins. The weight of that canvas drop cloth André is quite a bit of a load for a 2X2. Not to mention to possibility of the arm joint splitting with the weight of the lantern on it.
