Fitz is really not an aoe3 pro unfortunately. Anyone who knows the aoe3 scene knows Fitz can't compete at the top level (against H, Kaiser, Knush, etc.)
@@kylemagnuson9976 With that logic, there are no AOE2 pros either. And to be fair, that is completely accurate, as I'm pretty sure no one can make a living playing AOE games professionally. you are right. I have 150 hours in beta and tech stress and it's hard to watch some of the aoe 4 videos on youtube. Peopel dying to horse archers instead of making an ouptost and putting their villagers in, or french massing archers and not making any cav at all lol It was painful to watch 17 hours and I will be playing. YAY!
An early lead against the Viper almost always doesn't mean anything unless you finish him off lol. The Viper usually plays a more macro heavy style with great crisis management and then uses his mid- to late-game advantage to finish you off.
Was watching AoE2 Pro Player Tournaments. Viper was fighting another guy. They were figting 2 battles at the same time, while managing the economy and raiding. People from AoE2 are really maxing it out.
The amount of effort you put to cast the game is just unreal. It's you who makes the game feel way from engaging and entertaining. Keep up the good work
Yeah early one which is about 2-4 units harrass all day, i mean its most likely a ton harder than it looks - usualy is. But when i watch SC2 matches the level of reaction and counter speed is just bananas compared to me, i might be wrong this might require even faster reactions in early game. Again Viper is just a very very competent player with great awareness and feel for how things turn out in almost every situation. Its early days of AoE 4, theres room for more unit types, sidegrades.
Very entertaining match. I watched some multiplayer matches and thought it looks a bit boring, but seems like on a higher level it has that pace I missed.
I have found you! and you seem to be the current best AOE4 caster and you bring a nice insight being a player yourself and also you know the AOE3 community| I do not watch AOE3 at all but it is so satisfying to see AOE2 and AOE3 merge here! Keep it up!!!
I love the way you say Hp. You say the letter name and the sound that it makes at the same time. All English speaking people could learn so much from au
Yeah, Rus can counter due to having knights that are just as good. So losing those knights as France in this match up is even worse since you literally can’t recover. Against any other civ Fitz could’ve gotten back in since it probably would’ve been only horsemen or spears which aren’t as hard hitting in counter offensives.
Well, believe it or not, the AOE2 players do wall awfully lot as well. I think the only reason why they are not walling as much in AOE4 was because Feudal Age units in AOE4 actually pack quite high firepower unlike in AOE2 and also early walling feels a lot harder so they're better of investing in units. Also, once again, lovely casting. If there's one thing I'd like to add, I'd love to see Viper's base, specifically his production facilities because I think that'd help explain why he had so few units in that last fight. But it's perfectly fine rofl; I mean all the actions in the last half of the game happened on Fitz's side of the map. Perhaps a replay of this game but focus specifically on Viper's boom may help.

@@alarminglyfastmovingskelet7289 you think this is just a matter of their Nomadic style and reliance on the Ovoo? How strong are Ovoo boosted Upgrades?
@@MrMac1219 Honestly don't have enough experience with the upgraded Ovoo to give insight on that. But as far as their matchups go I'm not sure it's because of the Nomadic playstyle but more so what they have to give up in return for that playstyle if that makes sense. They pretty much forfeit any real naval presence which makes their matchup against France on naval maps so bad that you might as well just resign when the game starts.
Mongols are highly offensive-type civilization, so expect enemies to have Mongols countered even at their earliest ages (to end the game quickly, because the more resources Mongols loot the more they get even stronger. They're overpowering in the late stages because of that-except probably on a turtling civ like HRE.)
Age 2 syndrome is something i'm noticing in a lot of players. they attempt to win by massing in age 2 but tend to fall behind when the enemy is able to age up ahead of them, in this case it was over the minute viper hit 4 while fitz was still in 2.

can someone answer this question i have. assuming no siege is available only the 3 fundamental units of spear archer and horse. If a player has a well balanced army consisting of 1 third archers 1 third horse and 1 third spear, what is the counter to this assuming you spend equal resource values. my hunch is 2 thirds archer and 1 third spear but im not exactly sure.
The person with 3 types of units will have to spend resources upgrading another tree. That means equal resources will lead to the player with two typed of units outnumbering the player with 3. So I'd go with higher tier archers 2/3 and horse 1/3. If you restrict to same upgrade level you will misrepresent the actual state of the game because that situation shouldn't arise
