Im not sure if y’all read comments often, but I was a swim teacher for children for 3 years. Im sure Cove’s teacher has talked to you both about this already, but I’ve found that a lot of children that age will randomly one day just decide they can do it and they aren’t as scared. Im super happy you are being patient with her, and not getting discouraged if the first few lessons don’t go to plan. When I would teach kids Cove’s age, some kids would only watch for the first week, then the second week they would do incredible and actually end up passing the class! Im happy that you both were able to leave Cove and her teacher by themselves, Ive found that they will stop looking to the parents for how to feel, and start looking to the swim teacher. Aspyn’s story about crying while cove was trying made me tear up! Swimming can be such a scary experience for children, but I am such a firm believer in swim lessons as soon as possible. It saves lives and its a wonderful way to get their brain working in different ways. Love you both, thanks for making such wonderful videos!
