Bree, I started watching you as a young teenager after finding your period vlogs. I learned so much about periods and you gave me so much good advice. You almost felt like my big sister, so watching you now, about to have a baby of your own is amazing and I’m so happy for you! I wish you the best and I can’t wait to watch these videos! 💛☺️
i can’t believe ive been watching you since i was a kid and now youre having your own, this is so unreal and magical and wonderful i am so so excited for you and what the future has in store for you. thank you for everything ❤️
Same! I’m 24 and haven’t found the right person yet. I’m still looking and want a partner but I’d definitely consider going down the route of solo motherhood in a few more years! It’s amazing to see someone doing that
Love how you showed the jelly lol I get that all the time thought there was something wrong with me for so long thank you for all the education you’ve given me over the years!
Yes, honestly I was surprised she was surprised. I get that (or sometimes a bigger glob) every month leading into ovulation! I thought everyone who ovulated did 😅 So great to share and normalize these things!
I did the same thing 17 years ago in America. Best thing I ever did. I was lucky though as I got pregnant at age 39 with the third insemination. Had a breeze of a pregnancy but did have to have a C section. Being a single parent has been a gift. My daughter and I are very close. I wish you the very best in your adventure.
I'm a single mom to a one year old little boy. It's a crazy, beautiful journey. They give you a happiness you never knew existed. Enjoy every moment once you have one because they grow so fast! 🥰
I admire you so much for following the beat of your own drum and chasing your dreams since you started this channel. Thank you for sharing your journey!
I LOVE THIS!! As a 27 year old woman who has wanted to be a mother for as long as I can remember it’s fantastic to see other women so fiercely going towards starting a family in this way.
So excited for the detail, honestly and openness that you bring to this process. Very excited to watch and I hope more people find you as you release episodes!’
I've been watching you since you were a teenager, when I first became interested in cups. I haven't watched in a long while, so I was sooo happy when I saw these videos on my feed! I'm soon to be 39 and I've been thinking of doing single parenthood by choice for at least 5 or 6 years but always get scared and can never pull the trigger. I'm gonna do it! I hope it's not too late now and I do have PCOS but I just wanna tell you you've always been such an inspiration. I love how curious and educated you've always been with all things period and reproductive. I love how there's no shame and you break so many stigmas! You're lovely and I'm so happy you've got your baby now ❤
Hi Bryony! Are you planning on doing a video about how you chose the sperm donor? No pressure at all but I’d be so interested to learn about how that works and how much choice you get. Congratulations again on your pregnancy 🥰
Oh my god! What you mentioned @ 6:47- that largish white thick mucus- the SAME THING happened to me after coming off the pill and it was WILD. I was so shocked when it first happened! I unfortunately came off not because I want to experience pregnancy but because I have stress-induced high BP. So I came off the pill and the first time before I suppose I was ovulating I noticed this insane amount of thick mucus - almost like a detox- exiting my vaginal cavity. It was WILD😭 I was a bit alarmed but honestly, more fascinated 😂 it didn’t hurt and it disappeared after 2-3 days. Anyways, I had never heard of it save from a yoni steaming specialist that I follow, so this is really intriguing for me. So excited to follow you on this journey!🖤🖤🖤 Edit: What you mentioned about the Nightime anxious over analyzing; I live by the “Anything your mind tells you after 9 o’clock at night is probably not something you’ll worry about in the morning. So anytime I’m feeling like this, I just say- it’s after 9! I’ll revisit this tomorrow. & I almost ALWAYS feel a lot different/ better about it in the morning! It’s helped me a lot.
not to be TMI but in my experience it's pretty normal if things down there are drier outside than normal (like not wearing underwear, wearing a liner to absorb moisture, etc.) but you're still in that ovulation-ish phase in your cycle
I have LITERALLY been watching you since I was 13 and you were about 15 or 16, maybe even younger - I can't imagine taking this on so young, and I wish you all the best on your journey!
I've had thick cervical mucus around ovulation before babes, I had it in early pregnancy with my daughter too, love you so much, I'm probably more excited for this journey than you are mama, I love the fact that single mums have the option of sperm donation if they don't want a sexual relationship to conceive, shows how far we've come in accepting people's choices, we have a ways to go but it's good, this baby will be so loved and adored I just know it ❤️
7:55 - I know this is an older video now, (and you’ve probably learned all about them now!) but for anyone watching in the future, that is a cervical plug. It is quite literally a mucous membrane that plugs up the cervix to prevent bacteria from entering the uterus. This happens at certain times throughout the period cycle as ovulation happens, hormones change, and the body prepares the uterus to be the most hospitable environment for an embryo. When fertilization doesn’t take place in that cycle, the plug is expelled to prepare for menstruation. If pregnancy does occur though, the plug stays in place until the body begins to prepare for labour (sometimes hours or even weeks before the due date) but has the potential to be a sign of early labour or other complications if lost too early in pregnancy. It is normal to find a cervical plug, or fragments of it as you get closer to your period, and is also completely normal to not notice them at all! Hope this is helpful! I’m only up to this point in this first video, so apologies if this is all explained later! Also, for reference, I’m a nurse!
So cool to see this. I’m 26 and I’ve been considering this for months now that this is probably what I’ll do in a few years when I’m settled in a career (getting my bachelors in December) because relationships just aren’t my thing.
@@solesuna It's so pants. My cycle has reduced to just over 21 days (between 21-24) so if I weren't on the contraceptive implant then I would just be in pain all the time! Bonkers. At the moment it feels like I'm on my period all the time anyway. With only 2 weeks in between. It sucks.
I feel so seen by your comment. I got horrible pain when I ovulate. My periods are fine but my cycle is also down to 21-24 days and it’s a bit miserable!
What the heck?!! I didn't realise how much time has gone by. I started watching your videos like 9yrs ago and you were a little girl. Finding your channel introduced me to menstrual cups and fabric pads, and it's been a game changer. I've seen you over the years and I guess I didn't realise you're not the little girl anymore. It's trippin me out! Wow!! Amazing 💖
I admire how unapologetic, blunt in the best way, just everything about the way you carry yourself as a human with natural human functions. I watched you for a long time when I was younger. I'm not sure how I came to be unsubscribed but I will be fixing that right now. I fully believe that you played a large factor in me being so comfortable with talking about things happening with my body and I thank you for that.
Bree, we are the same age and I want a baby soooo bad. I was devastated when my bf of 4 years all of the sudden decided he didn't want that life anymore and I had to leave him. I thought I was never ever going to have my dream family... I am so happy to see a woman my age deciding to follow her dreams as a single mother. It gives me so much motivation.
I broke up with a long term boyfriend too, whom I adored, because he decided he didn't want to have children. It's heartbreaking I know but after a few years I can now see it was for the best
Can't believe I've been watching your videos for so long, like way back when I was in high school trying to find a menstrual cup! And now we're both pregnant at the same time!! I'm about a month behind. So crazy. Can't wait to see more of this journey.
I'm so proud of you. I've been watching you since i was like 15 and now I'm 25 and you're the first youtuber I saw talking about alternative menstrual products. I've been using menstrual cups since then and it's been life changing. Now, you are on a new journey and I'm just so happy for you and love that I've been here for the journey from teenage years to adulthood to parenthood. Much love and best wishes for your pregnancy and motherhood!!!!
I have been watching you for so many years (so long I actually can't even say for sure how long!!) It feels like such a privilege to be joining you on this journey, thank you so much for sharing such a special and exciting time in your life 💕
You e talked about wanting to be a mum since you were younger and I'm so glad you're did this for yourself! I know you'll make a wonderful mother and will have an amazing time with family support too!
I slept with a bloke as friends who had two grown kids and divorced. He swore to me he had a vesectomy. Three years later my periods late and I end up pregnant. I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant at the age of 40 with my first baby. I've not heard from the dad since he got me pregnant. I'm blocked everywhere and he doesn't answer his door. He lives ten mins walk away. I've come to the conclusion I don't need him anyway as he isn't bothered. I have no doubt you'll be absolutely fine Bree. You know what you're doing that's for certain ❤️
I've watched you for a number of years and have no doubt you'll be a great mother. As a donor conceived person myself, I hope you will be transparent with your child about their conception and choose a donor who does not need to be anonymous. It's a very painful thing to grow up feeling like one person's possession to the exclusion of half their family.
Super excited for you, I have twins from IUI and a sperm donor. My husband is functionally infertile so it was either that or IVF which would have cost significantly more money and I would have had to take time off work all the time to do it, which was not feasible for my job. Something to think about now for future planning is who might be your back up support system if your parents are unavailable. I have my husband and my mom, who is retired but there’s been times when my mom got sick or something and usually what happens is I have to drop something I needed to do. Most of the time I have to call off or shorten my work shift. Luckily since you work for yourself from home, you have a lot more flexibility but I’m sure there’s times when you have something to do that you absolutely can’t take a child to. Because my kids were born a month before the pandemic, they don’t know anyone except us 3 so we really can’t leave them with anyone else and also we have no one who knows how to do our cloth diapers, so we’d have to teach whoever we’d want to watch them how to handle those as well.
The large thick sticky discharge is probably your body expelling a mucus plug that was blocking your cervix. I experienced the same thing and was told as such.
I’m really excited to see you pushchair and car seat shopping!!! Been following you since before I had my own kids (think we’re a similar age) and now I have two and you’re having one!
This is such an interesting and important video! I don’t want children and never have, so it’s really valuable to me to see someone with the opposite desires, and what they’re doing to get there. Just subscribed, and I’m looking forwards to the next episodes!
I started watching you when I was very young, I haven’t seen your videos since but always remembered you as my inspiration for menstrual cups. So emotional to see you become a mother now! Congratulations and I wish you all the blessings in your journey
I'm so happy for you, Bryony! You are the reason I started using cloth pads yeaaaaaars ago, and it's been so lovely being apart of your journey for all these years! Thank you for sharing this with us
Wow!! Such a cool process to see! I love ur unique journey! Please keep us updated! I’ve literally been watching you for years! I was a young twenty year old when I found ur period blogs and now ur having a baby! Wow how the time flies! I’m so happy for you! You were such a good source for aces and for women getting to know their bodies! I will watch ur journey for as long as I can thank you so much Bree you have been there for me for so long
What???! I haven't watched your vids in a long time, I knew you were fostering but always got the vibe you weren't going to have your own children. But I'm very happy for you and wish all the best!
I love this, this was/is my plan being im almost 35 in 2 years and have been wanting to be a mother for over a decade but it hasn't planned out with previous relationships
So fascinating to follow your journey! I mentioned on your last video, we have due dates 2 days apart, so this is super exciting for me to know we’re experiencing similar things (although my conception story is very different from yours and and more traditional - in a married relationship and surprisingly conceived our first month trying). I hope you’re feeling better. My HG is finally tapering off at 16 weeks 😇
this is so wholesome like wow🥹. Literally remember being so ready to start my period so i came across your period vlogs when you first started them & every once in a while i’ll come back & check to see how life is going for you & the number next to the period vlogs shocks me everytime i come back because no way! But im so happy for you & your journey through motherhood!
I used to watch your videos I learned so much about menstrual cups and pads. I know you can do this and more as a single parent. Just don’t forget the father figure is so important for the emotional and psychological development of a child and is as important as the mother figure but in a different way. Is complementary. I know you want to do this alone but make sure the child has a good male role like a grandad for example.
I’m so excited for you Bree! I’ve been considering this same journey myself and I’m looking forward to seeing how things unfold for you. Praying for a successful and healthy pregnancy for you 💕
So happy to have found this video, after a major disappointment and thinking about this. I feel so horrible but this gave me some positivity somehow. ❤️ thank you
Please please please be candid about the costs involved. People hate talking about money I know but there’s next to no transparent info on how much this actually costs
OMG I'm so excited for you 😍 you got this! And you have a whole bunch of internet aunts that will support your journey and be here for you in whatever capacity you need ✌️💕
You are so lucky everything went back to normal so quickly. I came off the depo after being on it for 4 injections and I still haven’t got my period back 36 months later… the wait is so hard! Great vlog xx
You need to check Taylor R's fertility Journey. She documented it so well. I really loved this Documentary of your own Journey. I can't believe I missed the notification
The rubella thing is interesting! I've had the MMR as a child and when I moved to the US, I had to take it not once but twice more for occupational health reasons (working at a hospital). Each time I did a blood test, it showed that I did not have immunity for rubella . Turns out some people don't create lasting rubella antibodies when vaccinated!
The mucus you got is called a plug. It signals the start of ovulation. Many women get that every month. It's completely normal. I started getting something similar in my mid 20s.
The clump of weird disgarge at around 6:40... I get those too. But way way more. After googeling it for like hours I think its cervical mucus similar to the mucus plug pregnant women loose before labour. Apparently it happens a few says before ovulation Edit: oh and I'm not on the pill at all. It still feels super gross when I get this discharge
I have been following you for ages, watching your period vlogs etc. And i am so excited to get to be part of your journey becoming a mother ❤ Im so happy for you, and i know for a fact that your little one is extremely lucky to get a mommy like you, Bree❤ I love you! Thank you for sharing this with me, with us! ❤ Wishing you a safe pregnancy, and i cant wait for the rest of this journey! Hugs from a Norwegian young mother of a 4yr old👩👦
I was terrified to come off or birth control after having been on it for 10 years! I used to get horrible cramps 1st day of my period where I was out couldn’t function! When I had a natural birth to my daughter the nurse was like you’re handling the contractions really well. That’s because that’s how bad my cramps used to be like giving birth each month!! So I understand your anxiety on it! Luckily I haven’t had horrible cramps again??

my jaw dropped then turned into a huge smile seeing her show it. love the representation 🫶🫶🫶
I’m assuming it’s the like mucus plug that builds up to plug the cervix?
@@georgiagriffles Yup, when you get close to ovulating it passes to make it easier for sperm to pass through the cervix.

I'm about 30 seconds in and I relate so much to the giant pile of negative tests. We're TTC and it's definitely a journey.
I started watching you when I was very young, I haven’t seen your videos since but always remembered you as my inspiration for menstrual cups. So emotional to see you become a mother now! Congratulations and I wish you all the blessings in your journey
Im so happy for you.
I’m so excited for you
This is so interesting, I am really looking forward to following your journey.🥰
This is so exciting!❤️❤️
Giving me the courage needed to go forward in the same path, thank you ❤
Thank you for sharing your experiences !
I am so excited to watch this 💜💜
I'm so happy for you, Bryony! You are the reason I started using cloth pads yeaaaaaars ago, and it's been so lovely being apart of your journey for all these years! Thank you for sharing this with us
I remember watching you when you did the cup videos, and now look at us! We’re BOTH mommies!
I will watch ur journey for as long as I can thank you so much Bree you have been there for me for so long
That thing at like 7:00 is normal I do believe…. I used to get them when I was on my period but I’m now on contraception…… it’s fine!
So happy for you? I almost cried with joy. Saw your video right before work and it made my day. You will be a great mommy.
it's interesting to watch. I'll never understand the disappointment aspect as an antinatalist, but at least you push through and commit to your wants.
So excited for this series!!!
What???! I haven't watched your vids in a long time, I knew you were fostering but always got the vibe you weren't going to have your own children. But I'm very happy for you and wish all the best!
Can’t wait for this series! 💕
I love this, this was/is my plan being im almost 35 in 2 years and have been wanting to be a mother for over a decade but it hasn't planned out with previous relationships
Thank you for sharing and bringing us on this journey with you.
I know you want to do this alone but make sure the child has a good male role like a grandad for example.
started watching you when i was a kid! this is so exciting congrats !
So inspiring! 💓🌸💓
Love this...I have endometriosis and getting older and it's been a real struggle and I to am on a journey to have a kid alone...just starting
❤️ thank you
So excited for you. I’d love to do this. Have been subscribed to you for years and you’re going to make an amazing mum x
Please please please be candid about the costs involved. People hate talking about money I know but there’s next to no transparent info on how much this actually costs
This is so interesting, wishing you all the best and thank you for sharing your story!
OMG I'm so excited for you 😍 you got this! And you have a whole bunch of internet aunts that will support your journey and be here for you in whatever capacity you need ✌️💕
Aww Bree I remember watching you ages ago and I'm so happy for you being able to start this journey ❤️
This is so amazing. Been watching Fir so long I'm currently holding my newborn I'm so excited for you! This is so interesting and so incredible.
So interesting. Looking forward to part 2
This is so interesting, thank you for documenting the process
The clump of weird disgarge at around 6:40... I get those too. But way way more. After googeling it for like hours I think its cervical mucus similar to the mucus plug pregnant women loose before labour. Apparently it happens a few says before ovulation
Edit: oh and I'm not on the pill at all. It still feels super gross when I get this discharge
Love these videos !!!
This is so interesting I’m planning on doing the same in the next few months I’m so nervous and excited
Hugs from a Norwegian young mother of a 4yr old👩👦
I was on the same pill before trying for my first baby. I didn't ovulate for 5/6 months but I had a period.
You are such an inspiration ❤️
You helped me when I still had periods. I’m so glad you’re doing what makes you happy
