- Abandoned Pizza Hut - Stow, OH. Here we are once again finding ourselves at another Pizza Hut that closed up shop. This one, just like many, closed up their dine in restaurant for a take out only location.

I saw that one is still open! When I was last up that way going a for a little ride late at night I saw it was still in business. I also saw the Lyndora one was demolished, finally.

I know! The one in my town closed but still have 2 other locations. I'm going to make a point in going there at least once a month. Love their pizza. Grew up on Pizza Hut.
Wanted it for my birthday this year but well I don't know why people don't go there anymore. Dominos imo isnt that great. And haven't had Little Ceasers in awhile but I like the deep dish and a Pepsi. Going to town with Pepperoni and Sausage!

I live in the stow area and me and my friend used to go here all the time! So sad to see it closed.

Hi Wallie I grew up in Stow Ohio, very nice to see my childhood area, but now I'm not too far away from you, I'm in Uniontown Pa, where you featured our Super K mart closure, but there is a open full size pizza hut 12 miles West on rt 21 in Masontown Pa, just call them ahead before going went by there around December and they looked open, hope this helps you bud, love your videos, David

I work at the Pizza Hut in Ravenna nearby to Stow (I actually live right near the Stow Hut) and they brought a lot of the old silverware and cups from Stow for us when we reopened! They are currently turning the old Stow Hut into a Mexican restaurant.
It's now a taco/tequila bar. It's surprisingly doing well so far, considering el campesino is practically across the street
They just made updated that pizza hut prior to covid and it was so nice. Another restaurant that we've had since I was a kid.

I work at dq right behind there I saw my car like 3 times! I saw a family with brooms and other stuff checking it out maybe they bought it out! We are hoping for a chick fil a there asap!

Another One! There is 3 abandoned Pizza Huts in Lancaster, Pa (where I live) the one just closed in Lancaster that I did a video on, and there is one that just closed in York, PA. Where am I going to get Pizza Hut! At least we still have another one in York!

Interesting Video!!! My Pizza Hut in Hermitage,Pennsylvania is still currently open for business.
Pizza Hut requires that when you close “De-Image” the building. This means getting rid of the red roof, all logos, and anything tying the building to the brand. This location was originally opened as a Bistro location. After Pizza Hut Corporate discontinued the Italian Bistro model several franchisees opted to continue continue bistro but without support Pizza Hut Corporate provided with national media campaigns most failed to bring in the money needed and were converted into buffet stores.
This was one of Pizza Hut's first Wing Zone stores.That's why it's modeled different then the other ones.
I'm still traumatized by its closing. I was one of the many regulars, and it was kind of like family. We didn't even get to say goodbye. ☹

i have one in either direction of me, one in dumore pa and tunkhannock pa, from what i know is the dumore is carry out and tunkhannock is a real pizza hut. i went up there to see if it was still there and its there. a pizza hut classic? whatever that means. its the real deal pizza hut building though. still a 45 minute drive but whatever. right on rt 6. the weird thing is that little ceasers reminds me of pizza hut pizza. the more i watch your stuff the more it brings back memories for me here in nepa
What did it in is the excellent Bellacinos Pizza Restaurant across the street on Fishcreek Rd.

This was my local Pizza Hut, from childhood all the way until it closed. We would have our birthday parties there, then years later my brother and I would frequent the lunch buffet before work. A lot of great memories and great pizza there.
When I was a kid it did look like a traditional Pizza Hut restaurant with the angled windows and the big red roof.
In the mid to late 2000s, they remodeled it and turned it into a Pizza Hut Italian Bistro, a test concept which had an expanded menu with brick oven pizzas and traditional Italian fare. (It looked pretty much like the image at 4:26, but with the words "Italian Bistro" at the end of Pizza Hut.)
A few years later, they dropped the Bistro menu and changed to the Wing Street branding, they way it currently looks.

Nickles Bakery truck went behind you when you were doing the intro, I worked for them until they closed the Cincinnati branch a few years ago and laid me off. Didn't know they were still around.
They did they same thing at the pizza huts they closed in my area removed all the pizza hut features and now it looks bland
There's a Pizza Hut on Normandy BLVD in Jacksonville, Florida dine in is still open.

If you take a road trip to northern central pa up around Bloomsburg pa or lock haven pa or sellingsgrove pa apparently those pizza huts are still open
The Pizza Hut that closed here in Louisa, KY is painted about the same color. It closed about 7-8 years ago and has remained empty since. It's an older style building with the tapered windows.
My local Pizza Hut has closed also but it was a dine-in one
Hey! This was my local one! I came here fairly often with my husband. They had the lunch buffet too, which was pretty cool since not many locations were still doing that. But you really had to get there when they opened, otherwise there'd be nothing but picked over pepperoni or cheese pizza. The last time I went was right as the pandemic was starting to hit, and before lockdown. I remember seeing news about it on the TVs there.

Wallie there's a open eat in Pizza Hut on Manchester rd in Akron Ohio, one in Ravenna, and one in Wadsworth Ohio.
And in Lancaster county the pizza hut in New Holland and in Ephrata pa and Hershey pa there still open to

They closed the one here in Palatine Illinois, making it a point to go to the one the next town over at least once a month. Sad Pizza Hut is dropping like flies. Went there in the 90s. Love the deep dish Pepperoni and Sausage with some Pepsi!
Edit: This looks to be a really nice Pizza Hut and I agree that window isnt big enough to fit that pizza in. I'll just pick it up or accordingly to the Pizza Hut at my location it's a curb side pickup. I don't care I dont have money, I'll let Pizza Hut take my money I dont have lol. It wasnt the pandemic that did the store in. About 5 years or so ago, pizza hut realized the dine in stores were making no money at all. Slowly they have transitioned to only having pick up/delivery. Pizza hut never closed a day due to the lockdown unless someone tested positive.

if you ever go down to mexico Kmart had 4 supercenter locations. mexican hypermart MEGA took them from kmart in 1997. i looked at the dead and dying retail article and one of the pictures showed one of them still has the original Kmart SuperCenter look to it.
