it seems some kids actually don't even know what they're doing but just having fun with it (in their own weird way)

I think the difference between Gacha Kids being now and and other kids being weird back then is visibility. That's it. These tweens are and were the same level of weird, but now we have the displeasure of seeing it.

Yeah...My daughter had the gacha life app because she loves character creators and dress up games. I let her on my youtube one day to listen to music (she has her own playlists that I made for specific videos and is not supposed to search anything). She ended up searching gacha life because her 7 year old brain thought that nothing bad would come up with gacha life, so it would be okay. Thankfully the video she clicked on was harmless, but after investigating the kind of content people post myself, I'm glad I caught her when I did. Caught her looking up Sonic before that and stopped that before she could find anything because I know how disgusting the Sonic fandom can be too. -__- So now my daughter is pretty much barred from youtube unless it's on one of the two tvs in the living room directly in sight. It's honestly disturbing that there are so many adults that want to rob children of their innocence...
From the perspective of somebody who used to be on the edges of that community, it’s not adults most of the time. The edgy/offensive stuff is usually either satire or kids trying to get attention, and the sexual stuff is usually kids expressing some newer feelings they have as they grow up, not realizing what they are really doing (I blame sexualized kids youtube pranks)

To be fair.. You are going about it way more competent than most, setting up playlists and stuff. But... One should never let a kid watch YT unsupervised.... If one does not want to answer some very weird questions after. Even with the cleanest of accounts, sooner or later the algorithm of YT will send your kid down a rabbit hole of questionable content. (aso there is a lot of advertisement)

I appreciate those actual good gacha life content producers and edits, but as a random dude on internet who had seen every single dark side of fandoms and shit, I can say that Gacha life overall, majority of the time was used in the cringe and dark sides. Which means I highly don’t recommend kids to get into gacha life until themselves have enough knowledge to avoid those dark sides and protect themselves from those disgusting videos and pictures. That being said, there’s also no need to insult anyone who’s a gacha life user as I know most of them are quiet and barely post content. I have used gacha life too out of curiosity and been in the fandom to see how it is, and I can say it is overall not something people should avoid. The thing you should avoid is the dark side, instead of the whole fandom.

On behalf of my 10 year old self, I apologize for the being that is gacha cringe. In all honesty there are people who do really amazing things with it and use the app to its full potential sadly only a few are left and considering the age group of the community it can be pretty toxic since young children can be very impressionable and easily influenced in the wrong direction. In terms of my experiences in the community I was very lucky that I was following the better side and had a good sense of judgement and common sense from my family background.
In Summary: Children are way too young for this thing and instead of accepting it they reject it, this basically builds the toxic side of the community.
Nobody told my bullies in school that I was a fake gay. Coulda saved me a lot of trouble.
Gacha life, probably the one introduce my little sister to yaoi contents back when she's around 4th grade.

i remember being 11/12/13 in this fandom and it was so wilddddd bro. I was on the more tame side of things, as were my friends and while we did have characters we typically made ooc posts on instagram BUT IT WAS WILD - ignoring the drama that went on between me, my online bf 💀, my online bsf, and irl bsf - I had a 16 y/o girl who would ask me to be bi for her when I was obviously too young for her, I got death threats for making a sarcastic joke, I got death threats when I DID introduce my characters cause not enough of them were gay… (majority were LGBTQ+ I just didn’t explicitly state it + im literally gay myself ???) and also during 2019 there was a ton of homophobia and racism in the community BUT i was one of the people that would call mfers out for it LMFAO. Honestly it was so toxic 💀

I was once a member of the Gacha Community but left because i lost interest. If we’re gonna be honest, Gacha Life, Gacha Studio and every Lunime game has brought happiness in my childhood. It was a fun game and i made some cringy videos with it.
Whats not so fun is the “Gacha Heat”. Gacha Heat is basically a word used for 18+ inappropriate things made on Gacha Life/Studio/etc. Back then, Gacha Studio was one of the first few games Luni made back then and Gacha Life/Verse wasn’t released yet. Gacha Heats were not popular at the time. A few existed here and there but it didn’t really impacted the community.
Now when Gacha Verse came out, it had a bunch of more clothing, poses and customization. You can tell that some went wild with it. I dont know if Luni saw all these “Gacha Heat” videos and stuff, but he did noticed it when Gacha Life came out (basically just Gacha Verse but with more functions and customization).
Luni took note of this and decided to restrict any Skin Color when you’re customizing character’s clothes. Basically restricting anyone on making Gacha Characters look Naked and stuff. This started to lower down the Gacha Heat which is great, and a nice decision Luni made to keep the community’s wholesomeness.
There was also another Game Luni made which is called Gacha Chibi, which had a Chat option. Gacha Chibi is basically like Gacha Studio but its Chibi’s. However, Gacha Chibi was famous for the Chats. Like i said before, Gacha Chibi had a Chat function which means that you can chat with other people online.
There were different kind of servers:
There were the National Servers (Philippines, America, Etc.)
and there were the Roleplaying Servers (School, Fantasy, Etc.)
There was a problematic server and its the Love Server. When i first went to the Love Server i thought it was just some people being lovey dovey and doing sweet things but it is FARRR worse than that. The love server had people doing IT, and whats worse is that every Gacha Game is for children meaning there are chances that the Children were doing this. When i said “people doing IT” i didnt meant that they were actually doing it, i meant they just type “*Kisses Jake*” but far more inappropriate (You can search up “Gacha Chibi chats” on google) Anyways, after a few years later i logged back into Gacha Chibi but saw that the Chat function was removed. Im guessing Luni also saw what the people were doing and decided to remove it.
