This was the golden era of AC Milan. They had the most strongest team in Europe. Look at those names - Baresi, Maldini, Donaduni, Ancelotti, Gullit, Basten, Riijkaard . One of the best club teams of all time.
+ Van Basten
Steaua, a legend of the East! Two finals, 1 with Barcelona(winner) and 1 with Milan!
un alex Best team of Eastern Europe🔵🔴FORZA STEAUA
💯💯💯💯💯
I think Steaua's kit is the most beautiful ever
When Milan ruled the world
Here for the iconic moment series players in PES.
Such a shame
1-0 Ruud Gullit (17 min)
2-0 Marco van Basten (26 min)
3-0 Ruud Gullit (38 min)
4-0 Marco van Basten (46 min)
Could have been more easily
People say that the Barcelona team 2009-2011 are the greatest team of all time, but real football fans know that the greatest club team in the history of football is the AC Milan team 1988-1994 and that’s that
Barcelona is far better than those ac Milan teams . milan won only 1 league title with those 3 champions league titles Barcelona won everything in those 3 years you highlighted except 2010 uc . an if you're going to say from 1988- 1994 for ac Milan why not put 09 - 2015 for barca then you would have seen how far apart in terms of trophies barca is compared to Milan. what milan did is comparable to real Madrid 2013-2018 an madrid is still better because in those five years they won 4 ucl titles 1 la Liga an 2 copa del rey .Barcelona is in a planet by them selves in 2009-2015 5 la liga 3 ucl 4 copa del rey
@@dannanderson8333 ac Milan beat Barcelona’s ‘dream team’ in 94.
End of argument
@@NorthWalesKid what dream team putting together a bunch of superstars makes you a dream team .barca from 06 to 2015 is the most dominant European team ever stats wise an trophy wise .milan got relegated twice in the 1980s .name a 10 year period when Milan has dominated like Barcelona
@@dannanderson8333 if we go by the old rules which existed up to 1998 where only champions could compete in the European Cup, then Barca wouldn't even have been in the UCL in 2009 and 2015 as they didnt win la liga in 2008 and 2014. Milan were the best team in Europe in 1992 but were banned from competing that year. Between 1987-88 and 1995-96 they won 5 Serie A and 3 European Cups. They had a 58-match unbeaten run between 1991-92 & 1992-93. This all occured at a time when Serie A was incredibly tough to win. There were 7 different Serie A winners from 1983 to 1991. Squads were small - just 16 to 18 players and you could only have 3 foreign players per squad. Talent was more evenly spread around in each league and several sides in lesser leagues like Steaua, Red Star Belgrade, Dynamo Kiev, Ajax, PSV, Porto, Benfica and Marseilles were amazing sides who kept their star men well into their mid and late 20s due to the restrictions created by the 3 foreign player rule. Pitches were uneven, tackles were harder, red and yellow cards were rare. It was a very tough era. Milan would be too strong and too game for Peps Barca who were very vulnerable defensively, they just masked it by keeping the ball for long stretches. Milan's back 4 is considered the greatest back 4 of all time. Guys like Gullit, Van Basten, Donadoni, Massaro and Savicevic would have caused huge problems for Pique, Puyol, Mascherano, Dani Alves and Jordi Alba.
Ac Milan in the 2000s we’re class too
if don't came the revolution in december 1989 , probably Steaua could have been again champion of Europe for another 2-3 times in the 90's , but after 1989 when the communism fallen , the stars of Steaua were free to go in West , and this mass exodus weakened Steaua forever
I was following the history of the competition and here before the final Steaua had the better run then they fallen like this in the final!. I was wondering. Thanks for the information.
Same with the Red Star Belgrade, including Yugoslav wars in 90s
@@rockstar78970 in my opinion Yugoslavia could have been won european title in 1992 , all of us know that in their place goes Denmark (not qualified in those preliminaries) ,they were invited, and that team surprise everyone winning Euro 1992 ...that makes me to believe if wasn't that war in ex-Yugoslavia ,then Euro 1992 title could have been celebrated in Belgrade that year...and not in Copenhagen...Pancev, Prosinecki, Savicevic, Stojkovic, Mijatovic,Jugovic etc what legendary players they were
90k milan's supporters that night, the Camp Nou was all RossoNero
I still remember today how close Red Star Belgrade was in autumn of 1988 to eliminate this great Milan team. It was 1-1 in Milan, and in Belgrade, Milan was literally falling apart, they couldnt cross half line, Red Star took lead in 50-th or so minute, and then thickest fog ever in history of Belgrade came down and in 67-th minute game had to be cancelled. New game was played day later, and it was 1-1, and Milan went through on penalties.
They had the most strongest team ever ..
Rıjkaard, Gullit, Van basten. Milan Legends
Best Team Ever !
They are hero of Milan.
They dont post the videos when romanians are winners , they post when they lose
Steaua era o echipă bună la momentul acela ,dar Milan a avut o echipă senzațională, poate cea mai bună din istoria Champions League...
Daniel Dumitru Frank Rijkaard,Ruud Gullit,Marco Van Basten .......
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
0:20 amazing =0
That power in the header tho
Esse domínio de bola do Gullit no 3° gol é coisa de louco, que maravilha
Before this match , Steaua beat Galatasaray , and the rrefery from that match eliminated 4 key players from Steaua. I admit that Milan was better then Steaua , but it was a shame match against Galatasaray , Steaua win 4-0 and proced in final. With Dumitrescu and Petrescu, Steaua could put a lot of probleme to super Milan
Dan Petrescu played the final
Mi-e dor de Steaua!
Noua, nu .

The best for all the time Grande Ac MILAN
AC Milan so dominating in world football in the late eighties and early nineties and look at them now. They are a shame to watch. Wish they can assemble a great squad again and rule world football.
con 85 mila tifosi del milan presenti allo stadio.....
90* e ora a Milano (a casa nostra) vogliono fare uno stadio da 60mila posti ahah
Bumbescu la 29 de ani alerga intr-un picior, a gresit la toate golurile...

100van basten iconic match yeeeeeeeeeeeeees
The time when soccer players used a brain and showed beauty of soccer instead of body art and glory of marketing !!!!!!
I miss this scorelines in the UCL finals
STEAUA BUCURESTI ❤💙
Freeze at 0:28. You will see that during the cross , Steaua defenders stayed as far as possible from the Milan attackers. They did not mark. Then they actually moved away from Gullit and gave him the clear path to goal. Also , the blond defender(Bumbescu) kind of makes many mistakes at other goals or falls on the keeper...
So, what your point? Don't be ridicolous, AC Milan was just stronger than them, that's it. Deal with it.
it was a great shooting , there aren't any goalkeepers , who could have kept or saved such a shoot. it was a wonderful goal. The defender opposite Gullit realized his intention of shooting directly to goal , when it was too late. Instead of enjoying a beautiful goal , don't seek what doesn't exist. Before the fourth goal three Romanians tried to wrench the ball from Rijkard but they didn't get it . Steaua simply found opposite themselves a too strong adversary. They had mostly two or three possibilities at the end of the match , because Milan had relaxed, but even scoring tow or three goals , they would have never achieved us, besides also Milan was denied a clear penalty, a clear goal (disallowed ior nullified by the linesman), which was not in off-side and they cast away more chances (among them one post).
lamo you are so delusional. do you really expect the defenders of 1989 steaua bucarest to be able to effectively defend against rijkaard - gullit - van basten? just shut up, kid
@@coletrickle4955 nah fam steaua was on the same level as milan back then
@@beatsbyalbert i never said they weren't. steaua back then was a hell of a team, everybody knew it. it's just that they happened to face one the best attacking trio in the history of football. I mean, Milan fielding Van Basten - Rijkaard- Gullit ... it's like... imagine facing a team in 2008 fielding Kakà - Ronaldo - Messi as their attacking trio... i mean... they were playing in their own league.
Pls remember that Milan only got there via a dive that caused the only goal in Milan-Werder Bremen
Biscotto +uefadrid= lladres
is that a catterpillar on Gullit's top lip.
4 shots 4 goals
Just Andrei If you Watch The full game, 4 goal were few.
Just Andrei they had like 18 shots that game
Hell no, AC Milan literally destroyed Steaua
Steaua was a full on boss team back then....winners in 1986......and always in the top4.....so was Dinamo Bucharest but Milan was maybe yhe greatest ever team......maybe Zidanes Real Madrid was better but its discussable

Hagi is the best
They say Steaua didn't want to play as a protest....3 years earlier they won the final and the communists didn't give then anything...they were promised a car or a apartment I think...
So what
if Duckadam was still playing, there were be no chance for milan to win.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Such crappy defending
crappy defending what? Steaua had the hurricane before itself, what could they have done? They had possibilities to score two or more goals towards the end and if they had shown more accuracy they could have even scored, because Milan had lowered the level of attention, but also Milan had thrown away two or three great chances at least.
mate this was 1980s .Football is much more advanced now
