U can't be a hip hop head without Ice T..he's no doubt one of the greats and absolutely on the Rushmore of Gangsta Rap along with Eazy, Cube,Dre,Yella,Ren, D.O.C..UGK...let me stop there but T is so much more than a dope mc he's a really good actor even in early roles like New Jack City he was solid but then u throw in Body Count and all he did to help erase the lines and boundaries between Hip Hop and Rock..one of the realest most true things he ever said was in response to those that accused him of selling out by doing metal music and he said: "as far as I'm concerned, music is music. I don't look at it as rock, R&B, or all that kind of stuff. I just look at it as music. [...] I do what I like and I happen to like rock 'n' roll, and I feel sorry for anybody who only listens to one form of music"...I know almost for a fact that many people stick to a certain genre of music they listen to or movies they watch etc just cuz they think they won't be cool if they go outside the norm, they too embarrassed or scared their friends will clown them so even if they come across something they like or even love they'll just deny it in public and even worse in private sometimes but I was never one to care what genre of music I was listening to or what anyone thought of what I listened to..as long as it sounded good to me I'd rock with it ..hell as a New Yorker Me and Big Brother(whose responsible for introducing me to so many things including rock and hip hop) were I no bs think the only New Yorker bumping West Coast music in 95 & 96, specifically Westside Connections Bow Down, man I'm surprised we didn't catch a beatdown over that one right there...but with me being born in 85 and coming up on Ice T and Body Count and reading him say that all the way back in 1994 just let me know I was absolutely right in my view of music and I can tell u how many of my boys would look at me weird and call me corny for listening to Soundgarden or Pantera and I'd just keep going and several of em I converted..even my best boy Jake Aviso in 94 he hated rock and all through the rest of the 90s he said he'd never like rock or anything but Hip Hop, R&B, Latin and Old School but then came Californication, my favorite Chili Pepper album and one of my favorite albums of all time and I remember getting it in late June 1999 and I played the living shit outta that album all through the summer, it never fails to take me back..and I had my PS1 hooked up in a way where I had one audio plug going into the tv from the PS1 and the other from my Boombox so I could play my music and still have the sounds of the game...I'll never forget September 99 catching his ass singing along to Otherside..took his ass awhile to admit it but I had finally converted his ass..but let me stop I'm yapping yet again but Ice is forever a legend in the game in my eyes and ears and while he might not be a legendary actor he's still a pretty damn good actor who I love in pretty much everything I see him in ..even terrible movies..this cut is of course classic and u know the video is absolutely classic damn I wanna go back to those days, even though I was only a little boy when they made this..man the girls still looking so damn good and my man Ice kills me at 0:26 coming out the whip looking like a hood version of Mario..I was expecting his ass to have a utility belt with

It’s a bout to be 2022 in a few days
Ice-T should be a part of the conversation. He was the godfather of west coast rap.
This mad fresh, Ice-T should of made this into a movie. The 5-0 chasing the Ferrari would of been mad ill. One.
heh - I'm thinking "New Jack City" but Ice T was 'Nino Brown'
What's up Reginald veljohnson
👍👍👍👍
ICE-T the OG!!! Listen to all the bars he laid down. Why? Cuz he could. Respect to one of the Greatest Rappers. He even shot out Big Daddy Kane on this video.
