High E strings break with locking tuners cause you don't wrap them around the post enough. Give them at least 1 turn around the post and they won't break any longer.
@@paulchoate1 No, it doesn't, since the purpose of a locking tuner is to make it faster to change strings, and 1 turn is faster than 3 or 4. This is why not many people recommend locking tuners. They're nice, but usually not worth the price.
The part of the tuner that holds the string in place is too sharp when it comes from the factory and can cause strings to break. Sanding rounds out the edges of that part which then puts less stress on the string.
Please turn your audio up 👍🙂

Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of a locking tuner

@@CristiNeagu I love locking tuners. I did break one high e-string, but it was a breeze to replace lol
@@CristiNeaguthat isnt the purpose of locking tuners.
The purpose is NOT to wrap them around the peg. (For tuning stability).
@@Marx-ue9hn Nope. Locking tuners don't help with tuning stability. It makes it easier, but they're not better than normal tuners.
Thanks alot for the tip! Seriously smart stuff and I was not gonna end up there myself lol!
Awesome! That's why I made this video. Thank you so much for the feedback!
I broke four e strings in a week with an evertune bridge. I got suspicious and here I am.
I hope this hack works for you. Let me know. I have broken a few myself.
Is there any audio with this clip?
Use kluson nickel 6 in line locking tuners 2 pin for fender posts are same height not staggered like fender Locking tuners
Thanks - BUT does it work with strings at lower end?
I don't see why not. I've only ever had issues with the high e. It should work with any string you might be having an issue with.
What is it though? Floss? I just heard you say use a 16th.
Sand paper. About a 16th of an inch wide. I used 320 grit.
What did you put in there???
Sandpaper.
Audio is SUPER LOW. Easily fixed in just about any editor.
I've never broke one using locking tuners. Maybe I'm just lucky.
the sound level is so low that it is worthless...
A sixteenth???
So what does this do????

I have external speakers turned up to max, and I can't understand a word this guy is saying.
dude your sound is sooo low that we have to turn ours way up them the commercial commes on and woooooo crazy loud.
locking tuners are dumb. it pinches your string to hold it lol break city.
