Hey there, Brian G Johnson. The setup looks nice with all the lights. Nice work. Recently bought a new camera the Canon PowerShot SX60 hs. This time it does have a port to connect a microphone. But sadly it has a recoding limit of 30 minutes.

Really dig the lighting. I have issues with shadows. My work desk is in what should be my little dining room so there isn't much room to get away from the wall. It's just me who lives here in my little apartment so it is basically a office/studio with a bedroom, a bathroom and kitchen...hahaha The two lights I use are umbrella lights. I try to bounce them off the wall, facing away from me but I still get a bit too much shadowing in my opinion. Would probably be better with some diffusers on them but for one, I don't have any and two, I'm not sure how you would put them on an umbrella light. Maybe I will get some softbox lights to review someday 🙂 I have one really big one but it takes up a bit too much room.

Brian, I have an old 1080p Sony Camcorder camera, A ZV-1, And an Iphone 14 pro. These are my cameras. And none have really great features. They are all basically starter cameras. The camcorder is the oldest of the bunch. And I'm limited to 1080p on that camera. Plus its a pain to word with. The iphone 14 pro I have grainy 4k video in lower light settings. And very limited custom settings because apple locks the other settings down. And The ZV-1 is the best and newest camera. But it doesn't have a full frame or wide angel. Which means getting that good video is difficult and often requires hours of me trying different angels and positions just to find out that I can tolerate haha. But it performs best in lower light settings and has the better accuracies out of the other 2 cameras.
I would love to buy another sony camera similar to the one you have but I'm waiting to see the prices come back down closer to earth so it is affordable for me. If ever I find a sale where the price is down enough I'll be sure to get out and start having some real fun. So far all I'm dealing with is a bunch of limitation. But hey I have to work with what I have. Meaning exhausting editing to get everything else right haha.
I just recently got better mic's so my sound will be upgraded going forward. But lighting is still an issue. I don't have soft box's or anything like that. So I also typically have to keep messing around with angels of my 1 key light that I have along with any other lights I have in the room to get as close as I can to a very nice picture quality.
I can't wait for my channel to finally start earning some revenue. It's going to enable so many improvements for the my channel that I simply can't do right now.

I’m wondering what the price will be like on a used Z VE one in the future? Probably around 18 1700 bucks is what it’ll be available for. Another option would be Sony A7S three the A7S four will come out in the next three or four months I’m guessing that could be a big opportunity for Used cameras and prices dropping to a similar level. The A7S three has a viewfinder in a mechanical shutter, making it better for photography. The VVE one is great and has a newer auto focus features/AI features, etc. And then you don’t honestly Friend what you have is really great it’s not the gear it’s really what we make a use out of it. @@BrianGJohnsonPhotography I sure due appreciate the info. For me anything over a grand is too much currently. I think my absolute limit is 350 extending up to around 400. Going above that would mean I can’t pay my bills haha..
But with used cameras and sales maybe just maybe I could find one low enough to reach close to the prices I can afford.
The cameras over a grand will only be one my channel starts earning revenue. Because then the channel can pay for its own upgrades.
Either way I thank you! And if you are able if know about anything that is worth it around that price let me know! If you don’t mind. Or better yet there is an idea for a video if you choose to consider it. Helping us consider used cameras and equipment so we know what’s worth it and what we should stay away from!

I’m thinking for the time being I just need to sit still and keep creating using my current setup. In due time I’ll get to upgrade. 😊
@@BrianGJohnsonPhotography hey brain thanks to your help and suggestions I found a older model LUMIX camera that is kind of a compromise for the time being not a full frame camera but in-between full frame and iPhone, i think the camera uses the micro four thirds sensor. It was at a steal for 200 bucks and for what it is I think it will have a great difference.

some interesting ideas for lighting - and if you have a space with that much back ground, cool to implement. why does all YT creators lighting look the same? its either natural looking (rare) or the same two colour combinations, no diss, just curious question, i feel safe to ask.
over the last few videos, i have felt something odd with your visuals though - i thought it was my eyes playing me up, but i took time to be intentional when i watched, feels like you have a camera on a gimble that doesn't know how to be still! or a gimble camera that is acting odd trying to track unsuccessful
if you are getting editors to do that in post, they are overusing the effect, makes me feel like my eyes are having a fit!. its only a slight movement, but enough for me to notice. its distracting for sure, and takes ages for my eyes to settle back to normal after watching any of your videos.
again im fairly new to you. you do you. at least you are creating, and i admire that, i'm stuck in hospital, again.
