Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is a 2024 American science fiction action film directed by Wes Ball and written by Josh Friedman. The standalone sequel to War for the Planet of the Apes (2017), it is the fourth installment in the Planet of the Apes reboot franchise and the tenth film overall. It stars Owen Teague in the lead role alongside Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, and William H. Macy. The film takes place 300 years after the events of War and follows a young chimpanzee named Noa, who embarks on a journey alongside a human woman named Mae to determine the future for apes and humans alike.

I just binged the trilogy so I could see this. I wouldn’t say I’m a big fan of these movies but I was surprised by how good Dawn and War were. I was also pleasantly surprised by Kingdom, I think it’s the best one. I liked Noa and Freya Allen and I agree about Proximus being my favourite antagonist. I also loved the world building and the stunning environments of Australia. Real environments with amazing visual effects is just magic. It had a really good ending too.
I loved the movie as well my second favorite apes movie right behind dawn and as of right now it is my favorite movie of the year great reviews as always man also curious are you going to do a ranking of all the apes movies

Glad you really dug this one, dude! I definitely had the same worries as you did when I was walking into the entry, but I'm pumped to say that the new movie really worked for me. The characters, VFX, and story were all up to snuff and I cannot wait to see where they go next. Great review, Zach!
Cool. I've seen some other reviews on this one and they are all kind of luke warm. I thought it was brilliant, glad to see I am not alone.
This is my 2nd favourite Apes movie behind only War and certainly my Top movie of 2024. Rarely is a rebooted franchise this consistently awesome by the 4th instalment!
I agree this is an excellent follow up to War, I really enjoyed this movie Zach. A surprise package, Kevin Durand as Proximus Caesar is my stand out. Every in this movie just works very well

Great review! I also loved this film! I was so surprised at how much I loved this! Now I definitely was NOT rooting for the humans haha But am very intrigued to get more in this new trilogy!
I saw an early screening of it Wednesday night and nearly died on my way home bc it got so freaking foggy that I couldn't see a damn thing. But it was a great movie.
Great review Zach so glad you enjoyed this one aswell I def agree I loved these characters they brought so much to the movie and also what they setup for future movies I’m there day one but I agree they leave a lot of questions about the human which they I’m guessing they will explore in the movies

I find it interesting how much everyone seems to have liked this one. Definitely a good movie just took too long to get going and frankly I wasnt as big a fan of the orangutan as you seem to be. Great review though
