You ever had an inspection sticker taken off your license plate or see a license plate fade due to sun damage over time? A cover will help prevent those things for the most part. It also tones the brightness of the plate down so it’s not as easily seen when taking pictures to post online. I take the committing crime statement as a tad offensive. If that is someones intent then I’m sure it might work for that if the cover is blacked out. Mine is a 35% tint so it’s still very readable.
@@Foxcraze Well if that offended you, I apologize, but I guess I feel like the most popular reason for owning one is likely because of that. Maybe not for “running from the cops” but for things like speeding, red lights and other road involved shenanigans. I will say, those all seem like valid reasons as to why a plate cover could be useful.
@PeanutBUtter-px4gk it’s all good man, it was early and my feelings were elevated. Mythbusters actually did a segment on license plate covers and the light blocking spray that’s on the market. The results were that the cameras on traffic exams and cops cars see through all of it. The only real way to hide the plate is to buy a flip plate mount which is highly illegal in all 50 states. Where as plate covers are only enforced in states if they impede the visual sight of the plate data. Or you get pulled for a different offense and they go over the whole car.
Buy alot of tools and bits for wiring alot of my projects always work great
Yeah me too. I haven’t had a major complaint yet!
started my prelude build here in GA not too long ago and your videos have given great advice and ideas for me. I am going for more of a show car build
I’m glad to hear it… I was thinking for awhile that no one was watching the Prelude content but I’m glad to start hearing good things from it!
Out of everything I've ordered so far from temu has come shipped in bag's. I honestly don't think they ship in boxes too maybe keep costs down.
Everything I have bought since this video has been bags as well lol. That said, everything has worked and been usable!
Have you Tried the blaster gun? Did it work?
I plan to use it this week on some rusted alternator, power steering, and engine mounts. I will let you know how it goes!
25 bucks of decent stuff.. 40 bucks worth of crap you will probably never use.. nice to look at but...............................................
I have actually used portions of everything so far with the exception of the soldering tool and the sand blaster.
License plate cover is illegal fyi
I’m aware, been rolling with one for 5 years. Thanks for looking out though!
@@Foxcraze what’s the point of it? So you can commit crime and run from the police and they won’t be able to get a good read on the plate?
