what rpm does your timemaster idle at? and what is it when you engage the blade? Mine seems to be around 3400 at idle, but when i engage the blade it drops to 3200?
I am not sure. I would have to check. A drop in rpm when the blades are engaged is going to be normal as the blades are going to be an extra load on the engine since it has to spin the blades.
It uses the plug wire as a “signal” to know when the engine is running and the the hour meter starts measuring time. The power to the meter is self contained.
I would recommend the mower to any homeowner or for most small solo operator lawn care businesses, this mower should be fine. I have about 300 hours on my mower and it has definitely needed some repairs and there are some other things that should be done to make it stronger in some ways. However the productivity of the mower outweighs the small repairs if you are making money with it.

so the hour meter picks up an electrical charge via the plug wire and then it shows the real time hours of operation ?
