I have a timemaster just like yours and I wondered how to change the battery as mine is now 7 years old. Thanks so much for the info. I found this video to be very helpful. Thanks.
Good video but the first thing that should be done is to disconnect the spark plug. The hardest part about the battery replacement is aligning the bolts that were removed. I used a Phillips screwdriver to align the holes in the plastic with the threaded holes in the mower's deck. Like the author said, it is only a 10 minute job. Thanks again.
Many thanks! Mine died after about 4 years. Just grabbed a replacement from Amazon and now it's back to normal thanks to your excellent guidance Mine did have one extra screw at the top which had to be removed. It's just there to keep the blade engagement cable in place but the rear plastics would not come off until I removed it. Great video. Thanks again!
I have an old Timemaster with electric start and a new one without electric start. Is realistic to think that a weekend warrior could to move the electric start from the old mower to the new mower?
Great video like your style. Looks like your shorts are worn. I may buy your gray flannel hoodie. Facts are alway good, hurts sometimes but good non the less. Take care.
It looks like the bag handle was difficult to get situated. Is there any tips u have to make that go in properly? Hitting it seemed to work for u but that usually isn’t effective when I do small repairs. Thanks!
So I have the same mower. When I turn the key it cranks, but won't kick over. Could this just be the battery or fuse that in having an issue with? It's about 6 years old I'd say.
if the fuse is bad the starter will not crank, but if the battery is weak it might not turn fast and long enough to start. Easy way to rule that out is to hand start it with the pull cord. if it does not start within 3-4 pulls then it's a different problem. Could be clogged carb (from bad gas or ethanol), engine throttle control springs or return damaged, or fouled plugs.

Hello, how is the battery holding up so far? Does it have plenty of power? And does it last las long as original battery?
Does the mower have an alternator? Or does the mower need to be plugged in so that the battery can get a charge?
You have to plug it in to charge between uses.
@@GunnyPhillips I have purchased a TM and now I can see that it does not have an alternator.
Thank you for the video tutorial. Impeccable explanation, really appreciate it
