Combining Quick Share and Nearby Share as one is a great move, because most people when you ask them about Android they think of Samsung first, so Google should work with Samsung way more to unify these applications, because honestly how many people have Pixels (btw I have one)

Trouble is every time I invest a ton of time into a google app or device they discontinue the bloody thing, I don’t trust em anymore.

i believe yours should remain the same, while those who have Nearby Share on other Android devices will see a new icon! features may get updated OTA... but details aren't clear at the moment!

Has Google tried to create a nearby share/quickshare app to the Apple App store? There are other cross platform apps in the app store that do the exact same thing. I would imagine that if apple attempted to limit this it could raise anticompetitive red flags

Nearby Share is available on ALL ANDROID DEVICES. And that number is in billions.

I don't get the point of this video. It literally went like, Google unveiled this which Apple did earlier so Google is copying it on the Android side (without any details to follow). We expect better from you Endgaget. You guys are good, but don't rush the CES videos.

Shameless? Make all devices work together is something only Apple can do?
Apple basically force it's users to use its products for example: Apple map, you can't change the default to any other map apps,: how many users will really use it from the start if it's not the default app?
In android, you can change default to anything you like.
With DMA, it would be harder for apple to do this kind of things any more.
