There is a chap on Police Interceptors (you can google to find him) that is scarily like Alan, appearance as well as mannerisms. There have been a couple of scenes of him in his car when I was praying for Roachford to come on the radio and him break into character. Even his commentary on his arrests/police work etc are just so Alan. Brilliant!

I love Steve Coogan. After his great yet very chilling portrayal of Jimmy savile, he could accurately portray Nigel Farage and Nicholas Hoogstraten (both slimy individuals who are very Partridge-esque)
Alan's in a left hand lane, the cars overtaking are on the right of him. In the UK you overtake from the right so yes, every car you see should be passing him.
