@@saidmohammadzuhair2509 G7's gcam does not work as well as the G6/V30. Also LG's stock video is definitely superior to Gcam. Gcam is more optimal for front facing and rear shots.

I have an LG V20 and i'm considering buying a LG G7 or even a V40. What do you think about that? Worth the update and the extra price?
G6 was a great phone. Rear camera was best in class when the phone was launched. In direct sunlight the screen was not bright enough though. Mine fell on the floor and the display cracked. I bought V30, which is even better. When you have an LG you can't change brand anymore, because of the sound quality. No other brand comes close.

Yeah! My G6 sounds good even via my crappy car stereo if the music is well mastered. Also using it in my bedroom on an old JVC B99 boomblaster I picked used for 50€. It rocks!

Great Video Comparison 👍 I'm not surprised that the LG 6 was able to keep up. I recent brought the Pixel 3aXl and on several occasions the LG 6 took better shots and videos.🙂

Very nice comparison here. The G6 held up well in everything but 1080p video which has the sharpness turned up too much. The front facing camera is still behind the newer guys but it did well. The V30 is my favorite though which I'm using now.

kudos to you bro you did a fantastic job as always. but as a content creator after reviewing tons of phones on your channel, could you please reaffirm me my theory or just disapprove it otherwise: I found the best audio quality always comes from LG phones. a little bit better than Samsung, much better than Oneplus and HTC, oh boy needless to say, the night and day difference to google pixel. I mean its nothing about speaker but the recorded sound quality. I personally owned LG G6 and it's still my daily driver today and after several video shootings compared to my friends at the same time, no matter how 'clear' video they got, their phone sounds always trash to my LG G6. Idk if this is just my subjective bias or does it really do exist.
Ok so yes the better audio is on LG phones because of all the mics. LG phones are very good for content Creator using manual mode. I use LG phones 100% for all the filming done on my channel. Thanks for watching I really appreciate your comments

2018 Series seriously needs patches to set the camera right and excel beyond G6 : they have even better hardware ! G6 seems all set and garnished with updates and camera tweaks and seems the best overall at this moment but G7 and V40 are better in some scenes too. Waiting for my G7+ ThinQ to get better with time. 😛

Man another solid video e and again this is another one but I can't really pick which one I like more I do have a question though do you have a v30 I've been seeing a lot of good deals on the LG v30 I'm really thinking about grabbing one. That being said keep up the great work I got to say all these phones did a great job the photos were good the video was good the audio was great on all of them if I had to take a bath I will probably tell everybody to save some money and just go get a G6 unless you want some of the extra features that the other two two phones provide but I do like to display on the G6 over the other two and the cameras pretty much at I at least when recording with the rear. Alright have a good one I'll catch you on the next one.

I need your advice on this. I ordered the u12+. not sure if to cancel it or get it due to one issue:
i got an old lg g4. I am worried about u12+ brigthness indoors and outside either in direct sunlight or just outside in the summerlight. Did you have any issues with the screen brigthness being too low indoors or outdoors? I would really appreciate your opinion on this.
If you have the LG g4 the HTC u12 will be a huge upgrade. The screen is ok outside but not the best. I have no problem with it but high sun yeah you might have a problem but a lot of phones have that problem with direct sunlight. I hope this helps and thanks for watching

I just saw on paper that u12+ has 370 nits and 390 in max auto and taht worried me. I can t find the exact value for LG g4 's nits though. If it is at least as bright as the g4 it is ok.under high sun you mean direct sunlight in summer at noon or?

I found out the lense on the LG G6 is 13mp 1.14 micron pixels vs the G7s 16mp 1.0 micron pixels. It makes a difference with detail.

LG v30+ looks like a better deal the cameras on the v devices are great

I have the g6 and the camera isn't that different from the v40 (as it appears) but I go to a lot of concerts. Bright, flashing lights don't rly go well with phone cameras but iphones tend to do a good job. Is the v40's video quality good with rly bright lights?
I think so. The v40 has good camera when it comes to manual mode
@Easy Computer Solutions - Looking at the G7 and G8 vs the V40...I believe the price may also play a part in the decision making but honestly, I can't see a difference. I have an eye for lines, not so much colour, etc. Other than my own shortcomings in photography, I enjoyed your video. BTW, I am looking for a phone that makes me look good as a photographer...not selfie "look good" but skill wise. Thank you.

Hi! Amazing test! So I'm an LG user and I own since 2 years a G6 (wich the only problem in my opinion is the battery). I was thinking to update to a v40, cause have a better battery, 128 gb of memory, the image have much more stabilization and the selfie camera is better. But then I was thiking about your video, where for example at 3:27 the G6 looks better then the others even is the older!

Overall, the V40 is (of course) the best IMHO, especially as it seems to have bigger dynamic range. But I would prefer the G6 over the G7, execpt for the front facing camera.

I got the LG v40 november 18th and so far i'm loving it and except the overheating at night and powering off other than that i love it it's a nice and pretty good smartphone and the battery life is awesome

V40 was a clear winner, but sometimes the G6 had better color for some situations. The dynamic range was much better for the V40 where G6 preforms very poor, but many times when V40 show much more in the shadows, it wash out some of the deeper color that the G6 could preserv by not light up the shadows. For the selfie cam V40 wins big time, but for the audio both G6 and G7 sounds more clear to me.

I've been generally very satisfied with my G6 but some display issues showed up and I claimed repair under warranty, while praying I get my money back instead because G6 isn't officially sold in my country anymore. Been looking at G7 as my new daily driver, the price is insanely low for the features it has but it seems like camera is actually downgraded? WTF?! Would love to go for V40 but it's still too expensive for me at the moment.

Really? I can't complain, it actually got better after Oreo update. Lasts one day without braking a sweat, usually 1,5 days and it's 18 months old. I don't experience almost any battery wear. But I have to say it slowed down in the past three months or so. I'm almost suspicious LG does the same thing Apple was caught doing on older phones - underclocking the processor to save battery.
@@heretic124 It makes me wonder why Blackberries still exist and older smart phones. I recently tried the Samsung Note 5 before the LG G6. I prefer LG over anything running android. The pixel a phones are a joke.

And we used to use these every day only a few years ago. :D I'd rather have a dumb phone than this old slug but I need to use Google Maps now and then so I don't have a choice for now. Shouldn't take long, though.

This is my opinion, LG G7 seems to be flatter image and video quality compared to the previous version G6. Some people's like it and some are not. For me, its fine because i can done with it via post processing. Right know I'm purchasing G7 because of it's processor, and survivability on updates for a couple few years more than the G6. If not i would rather take G6 then..

Interesting shootout. At this stage of the game there is NO REASON why front facing cameras should not look awesome. The V20, ESPECIALLY the V30, and V40 have failed at giving us a GREAT front facing camera experiences. The V30's front facing camera was a insult it was so bad. I'm not here to bash LG because I really like their phones and appreciate that they have SO MUCH MORE potential than they have been showing with their phones over the past few years. The G8 and V50 MUST have stellar front facing cameras in 2019. The wide angle on the front facing camera should be a little wider as well and like you said let us record longer vids in 4K 60. LG has a strong following BUT has been playing second fiddle to SAMSUNG and APPLE for too long now. Step your game up and deliver a awesome all around phone that is on par with other flagships. 3300 and 3500 m a/h battery have to be stepped up to 4000 across the board.

Sorry I can't fit wide angle with 3 cameras on RUclips lol I only have 16:9 to work with. It's very difficult to film 3 cameras but to do wide angle it's very hard to edit. Sorry I hope this answers your question
