@@karenbryant2 I know, that is why I disagree with the US drone policy and one of the reasons why I consider the U.S. government the worst terrorist organization on the planet. As I said, two wrongs don’t make a right. Izzy does drone strikes as well. This new technique in terrorism takes it to a new level. It remains a false equivalency.
The only way to stop anything is by force, threatening or passing laws will not work.
Name one war or armed conflict that was ended with violence? You can't because there are none.
Every war ends with a legally binding agreement, a truce or armistice. Every conflict ends with people in positions of authority sitting around a table agreeing not to fight anymore.
The only time to my knowledge that could have been different was xmas 1914 when soldiers on both sides of the WW1 conflict stopped shooting, started singing carols, played football and exchanged gifts. Even that unofficial truce broke down within a day.
What will the punishment be?

Hamas broke every convention of war on October 7 - by doing so they put themselves, Iran and their proxies outside the protection of international law. The UN and the Islamic bloc cannot now pressurise Israel to adhere to these rules.

The majority of members of Hezbollah perform social service work (health care, education, social assistance, many involved in politics as well, not involved in direct hostilities). Independent external evaluations by non-Lebanese, non-Arab organizations limit Hezbollah militia membership to less than 5000. The IDF and Mossad treat all Hezbollah members as combatants, irrespective of what these individuals do. This is a crime against humanity and against other relevant conventions of international law. There is a requirement to distinguish between combatants and non-combatants. The IDF does not do this, they haven't in Gaza, they are not doing so in Lebanon. The IDF has a long history of not adhering to the laws of war, nor to adhere to the Geneva Conventions, and to routinely ignore international and humanitarian law.
Mr. Türk, why don't you clearly state who started the hostilities on October 8? Why don't you state how many of the casualties were actually Hezbollah terrorists? Just stating the number of killed, right after stating that there were civiluan deaths on both sides, gives the impression as though 500 Lebanese civilians have been killed, while in reality, the vast majority were Hezbollah terrorists. Thanks for exposing your bias, so everyone can see it.
