Thanks. Reinstalling the drivers solved the issue. I wish this video had some text or something for some parts where u go quite fast. Im normally very impatient and love quick videos but if the path was on the screen for longer it would be so helpfull. kept having to replay the editor part like 5 times.

FIRST STEP, make sure you didn't opt in to the Insider Program when you first installed Windows. The Insider Program cumulative updates ignore most Windows Update settings as they are different packages, so steps in this video will not work. To fix, opt out and wait for a normal Windows Update to roll in. You may still receive Insider Program updates in the meantime which will cause the issue again. To avoid this, you can reinstall Windows and choose not to opt in to the Insider Program. Otherwise, just wait. If issues persist, referring back to this video should then work.
Opt seems to be disabled automatically when you have 'send extra diagnostic info' disabled in Windows 11. You can find these settings when searching for 'windows insider'.

Good video but here is one more tip if you see it happen just pause updates so it wont replace driver, then follow he's steps to disable Windows Driver Updates, i hope one day Microsoft will disable Windows Driver Updates and only run it if a driver is not installed and a user chooses to do so, and disables driver updates for anything already installed by user, quite silly Microsoft cannot do this oh well, maybe Microsoft employee will read this comment and think yeah lets do it that way give our users less headaches.
that's right this is what i did when i catch the windows 11 update that was trying to update my gpu drivers, and i paused directly , but if you are not that fast and if this happened right a way , than you have to rollback the drivers , and try to do the methods to Prevent AMD Graphics Driver Replacement by Windows Update
I have to uninstall then re install AMD once every few weeks because of updating my drivers or because some type of incompatibility. Its super annoying but glad to see I was doing it the correct way.
Hey, nice video, I've been suffering from this with my new rx6600xt card (literally a few days ownership) and the adrenelin software on both windows 10pro and the upgraded windows 11 pro. I tried your first option but it didn't show the roll-back driver option. But then after reading some other comments etc i realised that whenever i tried to download adrenelin again after eecieving the error message i decided to uninstall adrenelin and not reinstall it at all. So far so good after playing a couple of games and restarting my pc a couple of times as a little tester. Will update my comment if i experience any more issues over the coming days/weeks.

I don't think that AMD is actually working on fixing this. However I believe I have found something (at least something that works for me). As always, I am not responsible for what you do, and if following my guide makes your computer explode, it's not my fault. I am asking some of you who are affected by this bug and ever had Epic Games Launcher installed to try this: Exit Epic Games Launcher if you have it open (right click it in the notification tray and click Exit) Open the folder %localappdata%\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved Rename the Logs folder to something like LogsBackup Try to open Radeon Software and hope it works Please respond if it fixed your issue or not, or if you don't even have the EpicGamesLauncher folder. If I find out it doesn't actually work and it was just a coincidence, I will edit this post to correct it. Good Luck!

Hello, thank you for the video. I do not have the local group policy editor option and in order to have it I need to download windows 10 pro but I do not wanna do that. Will the second and third option suffice if I no longer want my pc to update display adapters
I have done all of these and windows still replaced my drivers 🤣😂😭 for some you can't actually turn it off it seems🤦 This needs to be fixed asap. AMD has already lost me on my next build. This driver fight has happened three times since I got the 6800xt at launch. It causes system crashes in all games due to the corruption. I have to DDU and use amd removal, fresh install, and pray it works as it doesn't always🤮 Never buying AMD again as reliability for their CPU/GPU pairings is abysmal sadly.

Which AMD Driver version should you be using if it's the correct one? Is it 23.Q1.1 or as it is shown in my Device Manager now (31.0.14037.17019)? I'm using duo monitors. The issue is that when coming back from sleep, either only 1 of my monitor works or both doesnt come back on. I have a very annoying problem, which is the black screen when opening a simulated game such as PUBG Mobile, and it happened in the last game of ours. I can't fix it My GPU was working then I saw a pending update on amd adrenaline software, I installed the update, it said it would replace the drivers. A few months ago this happened to me, and I look over all the internet for a fix and did all this, also I stopped every windows update for 5 weeks (and did it again everytime there was a new update). hmm what im thinking its that we can go and copy shader cache on the folder where is located than , copy on desktop with an new folder than install new drivers than go back to the shader cache folder new one created , than paste old shader cache we have on the desktop :) C:\Users\ [username] \AppData\Local\AMD\DxCache There will be many cache files with random strings for names so it's not exactly easy to figure out which ones are related to what game. (try to copy all ) if you need to see the AppData folder that is hiden , you have to go to "file explorer options" search on start than , go to view tab than enable show hidden files , folders , on drives i hope that i was helpful for you :) to disable gpu driver updates use method with registry editor better

I have 2 monitor in my HP Z840 Workstation. Recently 1 monitor stopped working. I tested the 2 monitor alternatively connecting with each GPU. For one GPU, each monitor is not working. I have 2 no's Nvidia Quadro 4000 2GB GPU. one is showing Revision A1 and another one is showing Revision E3. Problematic GPU showing Device Status : Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). "RollBack Driver" Option is showing disabled. How to fix this problem?
I've tried everything with my RX480 and Windows has reinstalled basic drivers at least once a month for the past year. I even completely disabled automatic updates and it still does it. The odd thing is though, it never shows up in the update list or in the update history after it's been installed. It's like it's not even Windows Update the software that's doing it but it's definitely Windows doing it. It's the most frustrating thing and for some reason I swear it only happens while I'm playing a game.

There is a pause option and you can slow the video down, also skip back and forward. All the tools you need at at your finger tips.

I have done all of these and windows still replaced my drivers 🤣😂😭 for some you can't actually turn it off it seems🤦 This needs to be fixed asap. AMD has already lost me on my next build. This driver fight has happened three times since I got the 6800xt at launch. It causes system crashes in all games due to the corruption. I have to DDU and use amd removal, fresh install, and pray it works as it doesn't always🤮 Never buying AMD again as reliability for their CPU/GPU pairings is abysmal sadly.
Try with Drivers Adrenalin Edition (recomended) , or With Pro Edition Drivers newer one try both methods and let know
@@Tips2Fix It eventually replaces them no matter what. I have not done the pro edition/non gaming as it is a gaming only system. Sadly I have done all the things including a new w11 install and it still persists.

Which AMD Driver version should you be using if it's the correct one? Is it 23.Q1.1 or as it is shown in my Device Manager now (31.0.14037.17019)? I'm using duo monitors. The issue is that when coming back from sleep, either only 1 of my monitor works or both doesnt come back on. Just did the 2nd method today (telling windows update to not auto update 3rd party drivers). I was not able to find the option of specifically telling windows to not update just the AMD driver (1st method shown). I'm on Windows 10. My GPU was working then I saw a pending update on amd adrenaline software, I installed the update, it said it would replace the drivers. I ticked the Factory Reset option, it restarted after installation, after restart GPU wasn't working, I open adrenaline software, error msg says : *The amd software launched is not compatible with currently intalled graphic drivers*
In device manager it says: *Windows stopped this device bc it has reported problems* cant rollback drivers, when I try to update driver using *Let me pick from my computer* in device manager it doesn't go through

@@Tips2Fix I did, in my case, it shows me two options, 1 is basic and other option is jst my GPU name, I do it, after I press next my screen blinks and AMD bug software shows a pop up saying smth like * Display driver has failed to load on your system*

Never fails. Mine is ALWAYS just a little bit different. No "manage here." LOL! Nothing new in my world I found display adapters, but you have Radeon Pro. I have Radeon RX 6700 XT. I assume yours is a different card, but same problem. I continued. I right click drivers. Select properties. click driver tab. "Roll back Driver" is ghosted. I have the error message. My monitor has been shutting off and on. but it's always something differnent in my world. 🤣

After windows update, I can't access radeon settings via right click mouse. The files is missing or removed I don't know. I check device manager and display adapter still functional. My question is what do I do? Should I uninstall display adapter from device manager and download driver from Amd website, or still using this display adapter from recently windows update?

Yep i have explained , you have to donwload drivers on official website, uninstall old rivers and install new , and use my methods to stop windows trying to update it again
A few months ago this happened to me, and I look over all the internet for a fix and did all this, also I stopped every windows update for 5 weeks (and did it again everytime there was a new update). Yesterday accidentally my PC updated and everything happened again, the same issue. I'm redoing it all again and hoping it stays like that, it is just frustrating
I googled the issue of a AMD A9 processor and it's incompatible to change to w11 from ten by changing my boot order from legacy to UEFI and checking my drive is GPT not MBR , it all passed apart from the CPU being incompatibe, massive downer

I have a question, my computer used to be win 10 and it has "check for update" and also "record & stream" section, of course it's me installed from amd's site, after upgrading to win 11 then it has lost those 2 parts, win 10 after upgrading to win 11 already has AMD software driver by default
Is there anyway to not erase my shader cache when reinstalling my GPU driver?, I'm tired of the game being laggy when I first get in due to me completely removing my AMD and then reinstalling them. Also I couldn't seem to find Edit group policy and it still updates my drivers when I click on the no option in the one settings window
hmm what im thinking its that we can go and copy shader cache on the folder where is located than , copy on desktop with an new folder than install new drivers than go back to the shader cache folder new one created , than paste old shader cache we have on the desktop :)
C:\Users\ [username] \AppData\Local\AMD\DxCache There will be many cache files with random strings for names so it's not exactly easy to figure out which ones are related to what game. (try to copy all )
if you need to see the AppData folder that is hiden , you have to go to "file explorer options" search on start than , go to view tab than enable show hidden files , folders , on drives

I have 2 monitor in my HP Z840 Workstation. Recently 1 monitor stopped working. I tested the 2 monitor alternatively connecting with each GPU. For one GPU, each monitor is not working. I have 2 no's Nvidia Quadro 4000 2GB GPU. one is showing Revision A1 and another one is showing Revision E3. Problematic GPU showing Device Status : Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). "RollBack Driver" Option is showing disabled. How to fix this problem?
I've tried everything with my RX480 and Windows has reinstalled basic drivers at least once a month for the past year. I even completely disabled automatic updates and it still does it. The odd thing is though, it never shows up in the update list or in the update history after it's been installed. It's like it's not even Windows Update the software that's doing it but it's definitely Windows doing it. It's the most frustrating thing and for some reason I swear it only happens while I'm playing a game.
