Love your videos. Blob tops were more late 1800s vs 1900s so don't think it's a date. Great bottle.

So Glad you enjoyed coming along with us. We have decided to have a brake over the colder months, mainly because wee Boris doesn't like it being out in the cold mud. But as soon as the better weather comes in we will be back out and hopefully the tide has brought us some more treasure :)

Always such a great time hanging out with you all! I so love the little bottles and the bottle stoppers!! Sweet Boris in his little coat with the fur around the collar, so precious...and what a great find he had - the little tire! WOW, that iridescent blue bottle was amazing - so sad it didn't stay that color! Til next time, take care and give Boris scratchies behind his ears! xx ~Jen

Item at 3:40 IS a pile segment from a dry cell battery. I have scrapped a few out to get the good ones out of the dead ones. Even the current 9V batteries use this type of pile segment

F.K. Burnham thanks, do you know why it's stone in the middle?

The cells I have seen were a carbon composite in the center. It is possible it could have been some sort of honeycomb material originally. They did use many different types of materials in the early batteries. OTT, I have no idea.@@serendip_id8614
