    though I had some problem with sea water It also ruclips.net/user/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

    Hey there Lucky Gin! Thanks for taking us along on your MD trip! One small tip I'd like to give you, is to always k specific to beach hunting is to keep your detector ground balanced. The dry sand vs the packed wet sand can really give you totally different target VDIs. (You may have already known this.) I LOVE your enthusiasm for the hobby and the genuine smile! Keep up the good work!

  • @NYGladiator
    @NYGladiator 3 года назад +2

    Looks like you had fun. Just a suggestion, but if you find a sand scoop half that size you will be able to dig without having to lower your detector to the sand. Also, if you ever detect in the shallow water you won’t be able to put the detector down, so getting used to dig holding both the scoop and detector will make life easier. Good hunting!

    • @LuckyGin
      @LuckyGin  3 года назад +1

      Hi Brian, thanks for stopping by my channel. You know, I looked long and hard at those sand scoops where the handle is half the length but I didn’t see anybody else on RUclips using them. I thought maybe everybody used the tall ones for the leverage, and there was something about the smaller ones they don’t like. Do you use the smaller version and have good luck with it?

    • @NYGladiator
      @NYGladiator 3 года назад +2

      @@LuckyGin I would suggest finding a retail store if possible that sells scoops so you can see what style feels right for you. A smaller basket is what you might want.

    When all the sand has been washed off the beach it might be 5 to 15 feet deeper that's when you find the old stuff always look for this after a big storm in the area your area you could find a fortune maybe even some pirate treasure gold saloons or treasure from the lost fleet or Spanish galloens.

      Hi Adrian, metal detecting can definitely be good exercise because you do lots of walking. I'm often sore after a long day of detecting. @@adriansalas2367 - Ok, so the Fisher F75 might be a good choice. The coil is waterproof, though not the control box…so you can’t wade out too deep; 4 ft or depending on your height. It’s also a great coin and relic hunter. There are many great detectors/brands, but I’ve only used a few and can only recommend one I’ve used. I’m not sure the name, but it’s the lighthouse at Ft. Moultrie. There’s also big old cannons on the grounds - really neat.

      It’s the Anaconda, but I stopped using it because it’s too heavy for me. I switched over to the CKG scoop.

    Sooner or latter out in the water when you learn the proper scoop TechNet you will find more jewelry than on the beach their is an art to it though after a storm when you see mud is the time you should make time.

      This was my first time at the beach and using the sand scoop. When I got home I’ve ordered a smaller one that I think might be easier to use. (I hope). Once it arrives I’ll have to plan my next beach trip and try again. 🙂

      Hello friend! Yes, I’m using the Nokta Makro Gold Kruzer. I bet Delaware could be a fun place to detect for both historical finds and beach hunts. Loads of beaches there, right?
