I have been able to normalize my blood sugar being vegan and that's what feels best to me other people can use different ways of eating I feel best when I'm vegan. My hemoglobin A1c went from 12.5 to 5.1. And his remained in that area between 5.1 and 6.2 my blood sugars are usually very good and when they're not I can't explain it. Because I may not have had my oats and my dinner that day but it's high the next morning fasting. Wrong, wrong, and wrong. When you eat a bunch of carbs and sugar, it keeps your insulin high so you are always storing fat from sugar and carbs. Healthy sources of fat and oil do not cause obesity and weight gain. Quite the opposite, in fact. Ever heard of the Ketogenic diet? Look it up.
@@tarag7292 I do agree with you. What I mean by carbohydrates was the healthy ones. And the oil must come from animal fat ( lard, tallow) or just cook the Bacon with it's natural fat. We are presentes with so many unhealthy food (processed carbs, vegetable oil (bad for you), and all the processed food with high Fructose Corn Syrup and vegetable oil!)
Toxic plant sludge what do you think made you obese in the first place? it was the plants the whole time... fruit= rotting teeth, vegetables = IBS grains = high sugar
This may sound insensitive or uncaring but everyone knows that obseity is linked to type 2 diabetes and people with families who suffer from it should be aware to stay healthy keep a good diet but yet they continue with these eating habits and the cycle continues of being diagnosed with this disease over eating isn't fun and it doesn't make life better it makes you look like you don't have control over what your health means to you and once you get this disease it's permanent and then regret sets in after the fact we should stay vigilant and beat these statistics so we can remain healthy and live a longer life without all these medications
its not insensitive. I watched one thing and they asked the guy, have you changed ur eating habits since u have been diagnosed with type 2? And he said "sometimes. but us Samoans love to eat" like, he wasn't even trying
I know 2 people with type 2 diabetes, and both of them are stubborn as hell. They refuse to change their eating habits and the diabetes is getting worse and worse. All they have to do is burn off the fat in their livers/visceral fat but they simply won't.
@@gerardt3284 It's easier said than done. Unfortunately, eating disorders and food addictions are much more common than we think. The lot of us take no excuses from food addicts, all while failing to realize that overcoming a food addiction is no different from overcoming a drug addiction. The only difference is that most drug addictions are clear as day, while food addictions hide underneath the basic human necessity for food consumption. Treating most addictions needs therapy, which is virtually nonexistent (if not astronomically expensive) for food addicts.
@@anawkwardsweetpotato4728 Exactly. That is why it's useless to judge an obese person. These judgements are from people who have never had an obesity problem. Physiologically, an obese person is different from a person of normal weight. Obese people have high levels of insulin and hardly any leptin and peptide YY to signal that they are full, so they over eat. When you're overweight, it takes a whole lot of will power to fight against what your body wants. Can it be done? Yes. Should it be done? For ones health, yes. But it is a HARD struggle. Then there is the environment. The problem is that process foods and foods with a lot of sugar are a lot more ubiquitous and cheaper. The food environment is important because for a person who does want to lose weight and get healthy, not only do they have to battle their biology, they also have to battle an environment where they are surrounded by high carb, high sugar, process foods that are cheap (which is important because economic interest is usually the first concern), convenient, and everywhere. That is why there is a push for government intervention and regulations. People who have never been that big will never understand the struggle. All they think is that all they have to do is stop being lazy and gluttonous when actually so many obese people have tried for YEARS to take off weight and keep it off just for them to put it back on.
What a dam shame the same people or nation who makes these bad foods is the same nation of people working the healthcare system Esau and his offsprings. Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
going vegan improves not only people's health and safes their lives but also safes the life of million of animals and prevents pandemics and is good for the environment!
ant, because type 2 is a product of lifestyle and overconsumption of processed foods. Type 1 diabetes is more related to mothers who feed their babies cows milk. The proteins in cows milk is almost identical to the pancreatic beta cells of the infant, so when the cows milk stimulates an immune response in the child, its cells go to kill the cows milk proteins, they then turn on the pancreatic beta cells and destroy them so the child turns type 1. Point being, type 2 is easily curable. Type 1... well the dairy industry won't let people know they're causing type 1 diabetes in their own children.
@@ladyjatheist2763 The link between Type 1 diabetes and cow's milk has not been confirmed. According to a recent study: www.diabetes.co.uk/news/2018/jan/cow%27s-milk-is-not-a-cause-of-type-1-diabetes,-suggests-long-term-study-91137978.html "results showed that fewer children in the cow's milk formula group developed type 1 diabetes than those having the extensively hydrolysed casein formula. In terms of statistical difference, there was deemed to be no difference in type 1 diabetes development between the two groups." There appear to be other (likely multiple) factors related to the causes. Certainly, genetics play an important role
the doctor does not know what she is talking about. too much protien will NOT raise glucose levels! ( ketotic.org) Too much protien can cause stress on the kidneys
That is very wrong and very outdated information. Yes, fat is causing people to get fat, but you have to bring in the physiology of it. Fat from fatty foods isn't what causes obesity and diabetes. It's the sugar and carbs in that food. When you are always eating carbs and sugar, you get an excess of it in the blood. And if the body can't use it all for energy, the liver converts that sugar into fat in a process called liponeogenesis. Then the insulin, the fat storage hormone, takes that fat and stores it in the fat cells. An obsese person's diet consist mostly of carbs, sugar, and processed foods so their body is always working overtime to convert that food into fat which keeps the insulin high. So does fat causes a person to get fat? Yes, technically, but it's not so simple. It depends on WHAT FOODS that fat is coming from and what the body does with that food that makes the person fat.

Blame high calorie dense foods in general. High calories is the main culprit
fasting is the best solution .
I have many other health problems that have nothing to do with this but if any doctor happens to see this I need to know what's going on because my doctors in Boston have not told me and I am in the New England Journal of Medicine repeatedly my hair skin nails fat cells are in labs around the world they are growing my skin by the yard they have at least found out which Gene it's on the problem but it's been 30 years since I've spoken to them and they ruined my life for 13 years with their research on me. The lead doctor on my team was dr. Jeffrey flyer who is now the dean of Harvard Medical School! Who won't speak to me.
Wow! Doctors can be demons. They can do a lot of harm. I find it hard to trust them after I've seen so many of the harmful things they've done.
Watch the youtube channel Beat Diabetes. It will be a great encouragment to you. I am a type 2 diabetic and am doing fairly well eating keto . It has brought my sugar way down! God bless you!
This so sad!
Hit the gym everyone and cut back on desserts, it's not that hard.
@Al-zein Kusmantoro 30 USD a month ain't that expensive
@Al-zein Kusmantoro ohh, well yeah that sucks. Some gyms cost more than others. I have seen some strongman gyms for 100 USD a month, but then again world gym is 20 USD a month
@Al-zein Kusmantoro then go outside and jog, walk or run. There’s no excuse to be fat.
@Al-zein Kusmantoro you can do push ups in your room
@@briank8697 Yeah, not to you. You can't speak for everybody. If people already have a lot of bills that they struggle to pay, the yes $30 a month is a lot.
The statement made by that lady about complications being inevitable is NOT entirely true.
Funny how society will have a kaniption over things that kill only a few hundred people and then ignore the elephant in the room killing hundreds of thousands
Don't eat
All these beautiful places are taken on the American sad diet! They have made bad food affordable and healthy food expensive!
We want lots of food at the cheapest we can get,
I can’t see the salad?? Hehehe.
Not sorry enough to start eating better.
Carbohydrates are not the problem, but the oil, meat, and processed food.
Thank you.
Ever heard of processed carbs?
Too many calories are the problem, whether they come from fat or carbs.
They are the problem. Meat is not a problem.
This information that protein turns into chocolate cake and sugar is utter bollocks! Get a grip and learn some biochemistry!
It doesn’t but it does trigger insulin.
People have to fast… so simple still can’t get my head around the fact this shot is NOT being promoted
Its enough
Next is the documentary on cigarettes. This lady definitely sounds like she smokes.
IF people!! And 10k steps a day! That’s how I and many others I know keep the weight off. ☑️
Toxic plant sludge what do you think made you obese in the first place?
it was the plants the whole time... fruit= rotting teeth, vegetables = IBS grains = high sugar

his dad died due to diabetes and he's morbidly obese. what is wrong with him
His stomach is bigger than his brain
Can we get a more informed person to make a documentary on the subject. This girl is just too inaccurate. New Zealand deserves better
If you don’t have money to feed salad to your children, have one fewer child. These are the excuses of an abuse-accepting attitude.
It's just straight up ignorance and unwillingness to step out of their comfort zone and actually learn about nutrition
4:52 shes gone skinny now, nesian fitness
And he said "sometimes. but us Samoans love to eat"
like, he wasn't even trying
I CANT STAND MICHAEL MOSLEY. DONT TRUST ANYTHING HE SAYS.
It's all a setup
Need to eat saturated fat and 0 carbohydrates

going vegan improves not only people's health and safes their lives but also safes the life of million of animals and prevents pandemics and is good for the environment!
Its the leaders of the country who is to blame.
im sorry but what about type 1 diabetes thats not preventable why have a story dedicatated to type2 and not type 1
because type 2 diabetes is partly preventable whereas type 1 is not.
Ant Ville because type 2 is mostly preventable. And people need to prevent it or they will die
ant, because type 2 is a product of lifestyle and overconsumption of processed foods.
Ant Ville the kids are learning better habits to prevent type 2 diabetes for their generation!
In terms of statistical difference, there was deemed to be no difference in type 1 diabetes development between the two groups."
There appear to be other (likely multiple) factors related to the causes. Certainly, genetics play an important role
These are all mostly Samoans.

the doctor does not know what she is talking about. too much protien will NOT raise glucose levels! ( ketotic.org) Too much protien can cause stress on the kidneys
meat raises glucose levels about a third as much as glucose
too much protein in one sitting can be turned into blood sugar
It does. It's called gluconeogenesis. With too much protein, the liver converts the rest of it into glucose, raising your insulin levels.
This is incorrect. Carbs don’t primarily get stored as fat. Fat gets stored as fat primarily.
Ultimately excess calories.
Nah that's wrong.
