Brock withstood that tremendous blitz package all game. And with only eight full NFL games under his belt, he's only getting better. Shanahan is the perfect coach for Purdy.
Also, I like this length - the other such channel I watch sometimes typically goes 25 minutes or more on one QB in one game. This length is better for me.
@@vilseck95 you can just see it. He has IT. I knew it when he was the starter last year. He's calm, confident, reads the field very well, makes minor mistakes and learns from them quickly.
Yes. Purdy maintains a good awareness of the defenders coming in at him. He makes little moves that creates time. The level of athletic ability of the defenders is a big difference compared to college. In college an opposing team might have one or two who might make it to the NFL. He has caught on well moving up to the NFL and he's going to keep on improving.
What people underestimate about Brock, and what separates him from many other qbs is his anticipation. The bottom half of the league starters feel the need to see a receiver open before they let it rip, most of the time it’s already too late. Brock consistently lets it rip right on time, and I think the bad misses we’ve seen is a product of the receivers and Brock still getting on the same page with this. We haven’t had a qb like this in a very long time.
I haven’t been this excited about a QB since Payton Manning came out. Im a diehard niner fan, and when they took Brock in the draft, I was super excited. Been watching him at Iowa st his last 2 seasons. The kid is just accurate and throws dimes 💪🏻. Bang bang niner Brock gang
Awesome perspective. I never watched him in college. I’m curious what was his biggest air yard pass? I mean he looks like the 30-40 air yard range is a sweet spot for him and he’s very accurate but is he capable of like 50-60 yard bomb? Still extremely impressive and as another die hard niner fan my whole life I’m finally excited about a qb we picked up. It feels great.
@@Mbregs28 He didn't throw much over 30-40 yards in college. He hit big TEs and little dumps off to slots/rbs most of the time. I think he was really held back by a BAD OC and over coaching.
The fact that Purdy is playing this well with only 10 full games under his belt is amazing. QB’s usually don’t hit their full potential until the third or fourth year. If Purdy can keep this kind of playing up imagine what he will be like in a year or two.
Purdy and the 9ers going to be dangerous late this season, Purdy has potential to be great because of that vision and pretty accurate as well. Been a while since I’ve look forward to a qb at the 9ers

49ers yac is amazing. Part of that is if course the receivers, but Purdy is putting the ball in perfect position to lead them in stride. If they have to jump, slow down, shoe string, etc they wouldn’t be able to get those extra yards.

YOUR FIRST.? WoW subbed liked and can't wait for more of this Analyzing Content. Also the split second decisions that must be made, in this do or die world of mostly football to succeed .
Purdy was tremendous at Iowa State. There is not a defensive coordinator in the Big 12 who is surprised by what he is doing in the NFL. He never gets phased. He goes through his progressions. He might not have the biggest arm, but he is not going to make the dumb mistakes that lose games very often. He has the perfect situation at SF. Huge amount of talent around him, and he gets that talent the ball where they can do something with it. You can tell his teammates and coaches trust and believe in him. The rest of the league screwed up by letting the 49ers get him - he has the brains to be Shanahan's perfect general.
That was amazing for a first video. Until you said that, I'd just assumed you'd been used to doing these kinda things for a fair while. First vid I've seen, was great and sent it to a friend to watch. Purdy looks great - he's got that thing that strong QBs have; knowing how much time he has in the pocket to work with. Plus, your vid shows, he's good very good at reading things. Right now, to me at least, Purdy seems in a similar bracket as Mahomes, Hurts and Burrow in being assured with knowing how much time he has to work with and no knowing some of his options pretty much off the bat.
Reading this just now. Thanks so much. You did a very good job boiling it down. Suggest you switch to a catchy name, though, like "Niners on Tape" or "Niner Tape 101" or something like that. Perhaps other people reading this can make other suggestions.
There are QB's that just have that swagger when they get up to the line ..... all you have to do is watch his eyes as he lines up behind center....he knows where everybody is....he's reading the defense and making decisions before he even snaps the ball. You can tell by his eyes.....he's cool, calm, collective., he doesn't panic., and he throws dimes when it counts IN THE ENDZONE and MOST IMPORTANTLY, He's SMART. He throws it away and doesn't make many mistakes. Three games and they've scored 30 points in each game. I'm a huge Jimmy G Fan, but look at the difference in offensive points since Purdy has been QB. Raiders are still sputtering out after one drive. If anyone thinks this has nothing to do with the QB play of Brock Purdy., they don't know football and they haven't watched any tape of what's really going on. Ever since he started, the offense has had a great rhythm .... reminds me of the days with Montana and Young. The QB position is NOT just about stats, and amazing flashy plays. For Christ sakes, how many boring games did Tom Brady play with the Patriots tossing screens for 35 yards. ANYONE who doesn't give this kid credit for what he's proven just doesn't want to admit that their boy LANCE was a bust and PURDY is the REAL DEAL.
Brock withstood that tremendous blitz package all game. And with only eight full NFL games under his belt, he's only getting better. Shanahan is the perfect coach for Purdy.

My man is hyped 😂😂😂
Glad to subscribe great job !!
Really liked this breakdown. Subbed! Bang Bang Niner Gang!
It's amazing how almost every time he's releasing before the guy makes his break.
Nice video Bro
thank you for the excellent analysis
I love how the cbs are smiley faces btw good vid
Great job dude 👍👌
That was amazing for a first video. Until you said that, I'd just assumed you'd been used to doing these kinda things for a fair while. First vid I've seen, was great and sent it to a friend to watch. Purdy looks great - he's got that thing that strong QBs have; knowing how much time he has in the pocket to work with. Plus, your vid shows, he's good very good at reading things. Right now, to me at least, Purdy seems in a similar bracket as Mahomes, Hurts and Burrow in being assured with knowing how much time he has to work with and no knowing some of his options pretty much off the bat.
A+on your analysis keep them coming
Reading this just now. Thanks so much. You did a very good job boiling it down.
Suggest you switch to a catchy name, though, like "Niners on Tape" or "Niner Tape 101" or something like that.
Perhaps other people reading this can make other suggestions.
Well done. Good video.
keep up the great work
Youngest Goat and he is a modest man, good future an SF might think about bumping up his salary!
Purdy good analysis. Glad I found your video.
great analysis brother
