Not mine, I don’t know what happened.. the largest pot u get at Walmart, it’s in it!! It’s all up in it!! in 3 years !! I’m up to that now! .. it’s monster size. It’s Rediculous how big it is.. it’s hundreds of stems.. 😳 I don’t know what to do now.. I thought it was slow grower.. it’s MASSIVE! I’m trying to figure out how to split my monster zz plant up.. 🤨 limbs in this thing are straight up 3 foot long.. leaves are over 2 and 3 inches long.. it’s beautiful but BIG! It’s everywhere in the pot.. I keep having to go up a pot.. 😳 I have no idea what I’m doing!?! My friend and I got our zz plants same day same store.. mine was already root bound when we got them, hers wasn’t. I had to cut it out the pot it was so bad. It has reshaped and warped the plastic pot it was so bad.. this sucker is HUGE! We call it the Frankenstein zz 😂it fit in a 4 inch pot when we got it.. the pot I have now is knee high.. it’s taking up the entire pot.. spilling out. It’s coming up to my chest.. I’m 5ft 2 inches tall.. I don’t know what the heck I’m doing!?! My son recommended growing plants 3 years ago when I was disabled by a medical condition that struck me out of no where. I couldn’t leave the house. It helped tons with depression.. I have stayed with it because I love it so.. he got all the stuff for me and I thought plants was for old people! I am learned as I go.. I have no idea what I’m doing lol I really enjoy it now.. I had no idea I’d love it so.. our minor children help me.. we enjoy it as a family too.. we call affectionately call our zz plant frank as in Frankenstein… lol he is MASSIVE! We read he is supposed to be a slow growing but he is spreading like a plague here.. I even have started skipping plant food.. to slow it down!

How often do you water your grown ZZ plants? I have had one in my office (chosen for its tolerance for artificial light) for about a year and I think I have watered it maybe 4 times with less than 30cc each time (9” pot) and it actually seems to die every time i water it and is no longer standing straight and tall but slouched and spread wide. There is no way Im over watering it when I only do it that infrequently…. Right?!

If you didn't know you absorb chlorine almost instantly. Get a chlorine indicator if you would like to test it yourself. All you need to do is swish your hand in the water for 5 seconds and it will be gone and your plants can be watered. You can also use a potatoe chunk to absorb the chlorine. I just don't know how much potatoe you need or if it can be reused. Use the indicator to check this yourself.

Wow, I just learned something new. I usually let my tap water sit in my plant room for about 48 to 72 hours before I water all my plants, especially my orchid’s. Thank you for the tips!

People have asked you questions about soil and fertilizer and other things. Your answer is always to refer to your most recent video. Your most recent video is about growing basil and it doesn't explain any of this. I didn't know if you realized this, but you might want to update your information or start answering people's questions.

I'm sorry you feel this way. When I send someone to my most recent video it's because that is the video they can find the information at that time of my response, and I feel the video can provide the clearest answer. In the future I will state the exact name of the video. Thanks for the feedback.

Great video. You won me over when you said that leaf propagation takes a long time but it is worth it. I recently watch a video about propagation of zz plant and the person said "it takes a long time, you are better off bying a new one". If you don"t have patience, don"t do propagation or plant in general.
But sorry, I am off subject, your video is great I did not know we could propagate zz plant with other method than leaves.

I have planted my plant ( with three branches) in november 2022 and till now it didn’t grow at all… so I decided to cut the branches and some leafs and let them root in water , in that way I can propagate it . Hopefully I will get the expected result.

The leaves on my ZZ are shinny and green, but at their base where they meet the stem there is a hard brown crust. Is this and infestation or disease? How should I treat it? Thank you.
