- Welcome back to our Kashmir vlog 2023. I have exposed Big Scam in Kashmir. This tourist scam in Gulmarg was Taxi Scam that happens to me in Kashmir. My experience will help you avoid tourist scams
Mostly in Kashmir tourist scams happens so you need to Beware of Scammers in Gulmarg scams however Gulmarg is a Kashmir Tourist place. I have also answered questions like is Kashmir safe for tourists? and the Best time to visit Kashmir is in the winter season.

I have been to Kashmir recently. There is too much of tipping system in Kashmir literally everywhere. And it's okay to give a tip of 50-100 rupees if they have given you a good experience. But they directly ask you for at least a thousand rupees as a tip, whether you go for horse ride or shikara ride. Specially, beware if you're doing horse ride. People are friendly no doubt, but they are very dishonest when it comes to doing business.
If you can’t afford it then say it . Or don’t come .

You guys pay 50 rupees for 500 ml mineral water in hotel...
1000 rupees for one pizza
600 rupees for Chicken kabab of 6 pieces...
Atleast think critically what would take a person who is owner of horse, keeping shepherd, keeping helper, giving hafta to government, and other expenses and then keeping some profit also
So if you keep thinking about you give 50 rupees extra you will never be able to enjoy your trip..so take all these taken for granted and enjoy your trip
My experience is even worse. Ponywala stopped my tourist car and forced me and my family to take ride. That costed me 6400. This happened at gulmarg on 8-may. But later my tourist company filed police complaint and got portion of money back.
I completely agree, scamsters are everywhere here, they won't let you enjoy the beauty, whole gulmarg time that we spent these buggers were coming from everywhere to make us annoyed, and eventually we left even though we thought to spend more time, but these locals made it impossible, taxi drivers

We also face same experience in Sonmarg in Camera shop and Hotel also. Ye sahi hai apni baat se mukar jate hai aur phir Jhagadna shuru .Not flexible.Lots of Scam
