…and to the “less experienced” guys, don’t worry about “level 10”. It takes a lot of experience to get there but once you do, you’re THERE. All it takes to maintain it is a good attitude and willingness to work with others. The rest is the difficult stuff…

its pretty dang easy once u get the rudiments down because a lot of the shedding is basically diving the rudiments up between ur feet and ur hands like the paradiddle which u can break up between ur feet like instead or rlrrlrll u can do rlkklrkk

Thank you Adam, this helps a lot to remind me to practice my fundamentals and translate these levels to non-drummers and have them understand the difference between okay, good and great drumming, what to expect and my ambitions as a drummer.

So grateful for high school jazz band now. A comfortable 7 at peace.
Started teaching myself drums at 11. I practiced at least 25 30 minutes after church 2 to 3 Sundays a month from age 11-13. Age 13-age 16 I had no playing at all. I went through physical abuse and I wasn't allowed to stay after service to practice.
16 years old for 3 months we owned a drum set we bought from a yard sell. We lost the home and I couldn't bring the drums with to our new town home. 17 years old-19 played maybe 15 times.
Age 19-20 played while in trade school at least 20-30 minutes twice a week.
Now I haven't played consistently since I was 20 years old. Outside of 5-7 times at a Guitar Center. I am now 29 and within the last couple months I decided to hop back on the kit and see how good I can get.
I randomly came across this video today & it greatly encouraged me. I believe that I am on level 5 with the ability to do some level 8 and 9 stuff. All Praises to the Most High God Ahayah (I AM) Exodus 3:13-16.
This is a very, very odd post. Musical history, childhood woes, and a dash of religion. Lol. I would encourage you to read the pinned comment and click the video linked there. While I’m glad you’re encouraged, this is not a real list of skill levels by any stretch of the imagination. All the best my friend.

Crazy_killer 1112 good man , but this 7 levels are a small part of drums good for you that you passed a good time at drums but you if you want to say that you are good enough you need a lot of time , you need to play jazz , metal , some africans grooves and latin ... real wide world , wish you if you finished this levels start play this kind of drum grooves and music , wish you the best man :)
