Mini Art Supply Haul from Italy | Watercolor Test Painting

- In today's video, I am testing my small haul from my recent trip to Italy. Since I only bought paper and two brushes, I pulled out all of my Italian supplies to make this fully in theme (just ignore the Princeton brush and Nicker Poster Colour - I did my best!) I have not drawn or painted a person in over a month and I feel really out of practice.. time to get back at it.
More paper notes for those who are a fan (since I didn't get a chance to do my research before) - Magnani 1404 is one of Italy's historic paper mills and has been producing paper in Tuscany since the 15th century (1404, to be precise!). This pad goes for $8 on Jackson's. The hot press version (Portofino vs. Toscana) is available on Blick for $10. Not too bad :)

Thank you so much, Anita 💙
This was such a good, balanced piece!
Ahhh your name makes me so happy 😁 also thank youu
Bri head empty no thoughts but still amazing art❤ also sorry won’t be buying Italian paper to make you sketchbooks
Aww thank you 🥰 but why noooottt 😆
Beautiful! I'm pretty sure they sell this brand at Jackson's 🙂
Thank you! They do and it's quite adorable! 😊
My local art supply shop stocks this brand, sometimes they have inconsistency issues but overall they have great selection of paper for great price (at least here) Portofino hot press used to be one of my favorites but can’t find any without sizing problems nowadays. I use their pescia 200gsm cotton paper for sketching with gouache/pastel/watercolors and it’s delicious, highly recommend if you come across them. They sell 15 a4 sheets for 3 usd equivalent
Oh no, the inconsistency is issues are a bummer but the 200gsm paper.. I'm going to keep am eye out for that! Thanks for the information!
I have that same long dagger style "mop" tintoretto, if u think about it more as a mop brush than a dagger/rigger that helped me, big strokes 😉. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing! I will grab my sketchbook at play with it more soon.
The paper looks so nice! I need fast drying paper I work with very wet paint and I don't always have the time to wait on paper to dry 😅 J hope you feel better soon 🌺
Thank you! Yeah so far so good, but another commenter had stated that this brand has some consistency issues :< So may be hit or miss.
