For the mirror, if you use newspaper instead of a cloth to wipe the windex off, it won't leave streaks. Just remember to change the newspaper once it gets a bit soggy or else it will leave particles behind. My mom taught me this trick and it works really well 😊

This is a good tip. Many name-brand paper towels have softener that make streaks on your mirror. Cheap paper towels also work.
the trick to not getting streaks on your mirror/glass windows is using NEWSPAPER instead of paper towels!! I learned this trick from a restaurant I used to work at and it's never failed me
Just use water and a towel, no product. Works like a charm on mirrors every time, no streaks 👊🏼
Water all the way! Unless it’s a vinegar spray, I just feel anything marketed towards windows/mirrors is just a gimmick!
One organization tip I can recommend for tall cabinets is shelf stackers. I picked up a few so I could separate large and small plates but still use all the vertical space offered. It’s great in a pantry too! Enjoy the new place!

My husband is a window washer! To avoid streaks: after cleaning the mirror/window, use a dry towel to buff it dry. Work the dry towel in circles until all the moisture is gone, and voila! No streaks! ✨
Newspaper will give you a streak free clean on the mirror. Also, as a renter who has moved 4 times in the last 2 years, I am super envious of how easy you made this look😅but super happy for you and can't wait to see how you make the place your own. And how good is moving-in floor pizza!
Hiya Christina! Your new place looks great! Tip for the bars in the cupboard ... put an elastic band around the box, it should stop bars from coming out when you grab one.
I use invisible glass on my mirrors/glass surfaces. Sometimes I will do a wet cloth wipe down first if there is dirt (like on a window). Congrats on 200k 🎉

Wipe mirrors and glasses with newspaper. No streaks. You can also just use a vinegar/water solution for it 50:50.
When I worked in a restaurant and had to clean glass doors, I was taught to use glass cleaner and newspaper to wipe down the glass. Always came out streak-free!
For mirrors and glassyou can use microfiber cloth also I usually use this especially on a budget, paper, newspaper or paper bag use them to wipe. Saves mother earth

for the mirror cleaning after cleaning any dirt or dust off I do a last pass with newspaper with some windex, works like a charm!
Just some cornstarch in water and dry with newspaper- works a charm!🤗

For the mirror, stop using mirror or glass cleaner and just use dishwashing soap in a low concentration. Also don't use paper towels but two micro fibre cloths, one for cleaning and one for drying :)

What the others said about cleaning the mirror - use paper. If you don't have a newspaper, kitchen roll (paper towel) will do, or even toilet paper. Also, if you put vinegar in the washing water, and just the tiniest amount of washing up liquid (dish soap).
You can buy very fine micro fibre cloths for windows and mirrors. Game changer!

Happy new home! Love all the sunlight. A DIY glass cleaner I've used for years - 1 cup rubbing alcohol, 1/4 cup ammonia, 1/2 tsp Dawn dish detergent, 22 ounces of water. Spray the cleaner on your cloth, not on the glass.

To get rid of mirror streaks use a news paper right after the paper towels. 😊

For glass, chrome, etc. get Norwex Envirocloths. A serious game changer! One wet cloth, one dry cloth, no chemicals, the cloths have antibacterial properties in them, NO STREAKS! I don’t sell it, just a fan.

The only way that I found to prevent mirror streaking is to buy a Karcher Window Vac and use that instead. It works wonders on windows, mirrors and walking shower glass
I haven't had a dishwasher in years. We will have one in our new space so this was a great reminder to clean it before using it lol.

My dad always used newspapers and Windex to clean our windows and mirrors!
For mirrors, windows, and glass, I use the Glass and Polishing Cloth from E-Cloth! It requires no chemicals at all, just water and it always leaves everything streak free. Idk what magic it is but it's awesome. Love all their products.

Tip for windows/mirrors : wet fingers with cold water and flick at mirror, then wipe with a kitchen roll. The more chemicals you put on the harder it is to get a smear free mirror. You can get special window cloth sets - 1 is a white waffle cloth that you wet, 2 is a silky cloth that buffs the surface to leave streak free with no chemicals.
Windex with newspaper works or 50/50 vinegar and water with microfibre cloth

Does Toronto have any zero waste/refill shops? I love those for refilling my dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, body wash, and other cleaning supplies! Less toxic and reduces your plastic, highly recommend if there’s one nearby!

For windows and mirrors, i use a few drops of dish soap in water. No need to rince.

Regarding the mirror you could dust it first with a cloth, no products. Then use glass cleaner and wipe with scrunched up parcel/news paper (like a soft paper so no scratches)

There are special microfiber cloths for cleaning glass and mirrors. I use a wet one for removing the dirt and a dry one for streak free drying. Better than anything I've ever tried before!
Use a wet microfiber cloth. No cleaner. Dry with another microfiber cloth. No streaks.
For cleaning mirrors and windows without streaks, use a spray bottle with a water vinegar mixture, and newspaper. Not kidding, the vinegar takes care of the streaks and newsprint doesn’t mean Lint. For a more expensive than less sustainable solution, get a high alcohol windshield spray from an auto store, for detailing, and a microfiber cloth.

I use a damp cotton cloth with regular water and wipe the mirrors with a microfiber cloth right after. Not a streak!👌

You need one cloth to clean the mirror with the windex. Then a dry cotton cloth to “dry” the windex and wipe up any dirt.

For mirror streaks, I use Windex brand glass cleaner, any off brands just never work and always leave streaks. I also just use a regular paper towel. Yay for new homes!
A streak-free glass and window cleaners.... No cleaner necessary, just water and Norwex!! Their window cloth is next level.
Use wadded up newspaper to clean mirrors instead of a rag.

E cloth for windows on Amazon. I have never had a streak on windows. mirrors, computer screens, etc. Air dry. I have had these for several years not more hassling with streaks or nose art from small dogs. Enjoy your new place!!!
For mirrors, glass and windows - mix one part vinegar with 2 parts water and use that. Works like a dream, zero streaks, cheap and natural 😊
I find I rehome very little items after the move. It worth taking the time planning it out to begin with

To clean mirrors or glass I’d recommend a product called Invisible Glass( found in the automotive aisle at Canadian Tire) plus a piece of crumpled newspaper. Works like a charm..
For mirrors: half water + half vinegar mix on spray bottle. It doesn't streak like Windex :)

I used a hair dryer to dry my very large floor mirror :)
A TINY bit of dish detergent in lots of water… wipe the mirror with a microfiber rag/soap mix.. then squeegee off. Spotless. We have a window cleaner who does all the house windows in and out. I had a big floor mirror that I could never get done without streaking. He showed me this and I threw out all the dumb window “cleaners”.. a joke and waste of time.

Streams on the mirror after cleaning are often caused by having used too much products on the mirror for a long time. In this case one should clean it only with water (maybe with a little alcohol added) and dry it with a clean towel afterwards. I stopped buying special cleaning products for mirrors as they often do more harm than good😅
I clean mirrors with a 1:3 vinegar:water spray and there's no streak so far :D

I use a lint free towel not sure the exact material lol but it’s not fluffy at all or microfiber almost rough and spray “invisible glass” spray. It takes a lil to rub away but works like a charm for me!
