Thanks Orski, love your content Just a remark on Piter's ring : you cannot deploy the one troop for the ring, but can still deploy from your garrison and location, which makes it really different from Shaddam's Any plans on playing Dune Imperium Digital now that Rise of IX has been released ?
Haha yeah I should have realized that 😅 - that makes the ring a lot better. And Yupp! I’ve been playing some casual games to get used to the interface first
Hey Orski, Loving your content as always! As for Duncan, the image is rather blurry, but I believe Duncan's ring is referring to "six player" games instead of single. Six player games have swordmaster bonus tokens that add strength to that players reveal permanently, since swordmasters can only be used once per game in that mode
One thing we didn't get here was any of the new deck cards. I wonder if there is a specific theme to them, certainly sardaukar related for a bunch but I'd also expect more Bene Gesiete cards too.
Piters ring doesn't stop you from deploying troops, just the free one. So it's more of a preparation for later which seems fitting for him. I'm not saying it's great but it's not as bad as you were thinking
This looks awesome! I don't have any of the board games, but I'm looking at this hoping it'll come to the Steam version eventually, which I'm enjoying very much!
Think you miss understood Piter's Ring ability. It says You can't depot THIS troop to combat this turn. So it essentially acts as a normal ring but gives you a troop for next turn. It doent prevent adding any other troops.
I feel like Idaho's signet ring is at least as good as Gurney's. Gurney's ring is "get +2 strength for either now or later", Idaho is "get +2 strength now, but you don't need to deploy to a combat space but you don't block the space anymore". Do you ever use Gurney's ring without going to a combat space? Not blocking is also interesting.
Great for easy limping in for third. But the not blocking would leave combat access to your opponents when you are vying for first , especially in the contested third tier combats. The rings are certainly similar. Idaho’s has a little more umph to it with some situational downside.
Non blocking has a risk reward. Because removing the agent is optional you aren't forced to open up the spot if it's too risky for you. But it will also let you try and get a double faction bump, deploy more troops or something crazy like double highliners. Really opens up a lot of strategic diversity if played well. Sounds like an excellent card to me.
@@ZbjetisGod it’s a ring. So no innate faction access. So more like double research stations (!!) if you hold enough water and no one else does or wants to. Otherwise good points.
Yupp! After I uploaded the video I saw dire wolf ended up making an official post where you can see the ixian embassy board more clearly - looks like you just have to go to a green spot which seems like a great addition (I love the tech tiles)
I imagine the rulebook being HELL. Looking through Uprising to figure out what to sleeve up and include, and how solo-player worked was so mind-numbing.
I recomend you to try uprising with immortality. At least give it a try. It makes worms a bit less impactfull and maker board spaces get more value with research icon.
As someone who owns Dune imperium, not uprising and has no interest in getting uprising, I'm a little worried about this expansion. I don't know how similar the games are that an expansion can fit equally into both of them. I have no qualm about only using the modules I find to fit well and ignoring others. But I'd prefer it if it was well balanced and thoroughly playtested for Dune Imperium.
Does anyone else feel like Dune has a lot of bloat now? Plus being a newer and casual player I am still confused about why Uprising was released with the original dune imperium is still in production as far as I’m aware
Thanks Orski, love your content

@@orski78 It is still just decent as it will never change the fact that you win or not this round combat.
I wonder if he has intrigue cards that let you limp in troops on your reveal turn. That would pair well with this ring
Piter de Vries signet ring doesnt allow you to send the one specific troop you get from ability, the rest can be deployed
The three stripes on the back of the skill cards is literally the sardukar logo. You can see it in the background of the sardukar board space too.
Yup I figured it out eventually

Ah okay that makes more sense, thanks!

Piter can deploy troops with his signet ring. He just can't deploy that ONE troop to the combat that he gets from the signet ring.
I hope it fits well with Uprising, the other expansions don’t seem to fit as well with it for competitive
it says right on the box it does...
@@alcovitch Yeah I said fits well not if it fits at all.
Can see we've all had a busy Sunday...
😂😂 I woke up to this news, had to get my butt in gear
@@orski78 Basically the same here, like 30 mins from eye opening to in front of a camera lol

I can't find randoms online? Is it populated, maybe I go at the wrong time?
I think that the trapezoid cards on display are the sardaukar skills and not the navigation cards but we’ll see
This is almost definitely correct just based on the card back having the sardaukar blood marks.

I hope they will provide sleeves for those Sardaukar cards, who the hell thought that shape is a great idea :D

Great point! I didn’t even think about the non-blocking aspect of the ability

Awesome! I am happy that this works with Imperium!
I was scared about the technology without IX, but I like how they plan to do it !
I wonder if the Ixian Embassy is maybe a way to acquire Tech tiles that integrates better with Uprising?
I think so too since it allows tech buying when you send an agent on any green spot
Yupp! After I uploaded the video I saw dire wolf ended up making an official post where you can see the ixian embassy board more clearly - looks like you just have to go to a green spot which seems like a great addition (I love the tech tiles)
yeah its likely for uprising, and then if you play ix you can probably just shuffle in the new tech tiles and play it that way.
I imagine the rulebook being HELL. Looking through Uprising to figure out what to sleeve up and include, and how solo-player worked was so mind-numbing.
Ain't gonna lie, that Steersman is really nifty!
So does this new expansion fits in the big box?
Piter's ring ability says you can't reply the BONUS troop, not that you can't deploy ANY troops
I am sure that Peter special cards have same backround!
So... if the Sardaukar miniatures are coming with the game, does that mean we should get the Dune deluxe upgrade pack to make it complete?
Orski! Where you at? Love your content! Hope you're doing well!

Having played all the combinations, I thought Uprising by itself or with Immortality felt the best.

Cant deploy THIS troop to the conflict this turn
COMING IN FRANCE AUGUST 2035
"obviously"
