Enjoy the channel bud. Been watching since day one. I am leased to a carrier pulling a gasoline tank in Georgia. Your early videos helped encourage me to hang up my company driver gig and get my first truck. My passion is agriculture I hope one day to start hauling in the AG industry.
Enjoyed that video Michael. I think you bought that old Freightliner because those Peterbilt's never require your mechanical skills. Which I believe is your Old School Passion! Thank you for sharing
Yes....but stop using beads...they wear out and a simple pebble will mess up that one bag....get rings...one purchase many many miles...beads need replacing ever tire change...k.i.s.s....keep it simple stupid...just saying
You need to follow..every 10k miles or 30 days...check tire specs and tread...I am the master of tire wear...1 million miles plus 3 3-10sets...so ask and I will help...ome alignment in 4 years...300k on my steers...so match that...ANYONE
Get rings....sense so matics....and check king pins....that's a waste of a steer....I run all position Michelin x3...been on my rig for 125k plus. ...if a steer shows wear...rotation to the rear...do it before it gets that bad....it will smooth out...i get 300k on my tires...remove all...sell at auction and buy all new....steel black wheels and roll on for another 3 years...great video...let's do more then 5 a year...
The Freightliners FLD is the XL classics I've got I've got a couple of them running on the fleet on mine and my dad's Fleet together we aerated the whole truck and it runs better on air running it did anything but it looks like you need to put a whole new front end alignment front to back and I'd go ahead and air ride that truck cuz them trucks are darn good trucks they're not bad trucks I've got one I just clocked 1.4 million miles on and we're still running it around the around the farm and it's a good truck but I rebuilt the whole thing where I didn't have to mess with buying a new one but I've restored that thing and it's a work truck and it's a good one but I put a whole brand new airbag system front to back everything new axles I think the front end on your truck needs to be air ride I'm not telling you what to do I'm just passing along some advice
Shocks or wheel bearing issue. ..you need to torque at proper specs...and I don't believe it's a spring....sorry...get factory shocks...not gas...hydraulic shocks...top of the line...let's chat some time

King pin wear, Mike!!!
That’s what I was thinking. Before removing the tire, should have slid that bar under it to see how much play there was.
Yes sir cool video 👍
Big rubber!!11R24.5
Pardon my ignorance: I am curious how do you put a balance without a balance machine?
It’s a bag full of plastic balls similar to the bb bullets of a BB gun.

@@dustinhuffman574 true used the beads once and it wore both of my steers similar to his so never again
I can't get mileage out of steer tires either.
I would be happy to get 75,000 out of a steer at this point.
