U know what I love about Connor he takes it so simple and he's never fancy and he makes it look fancy
I know what you mean. No extra flair, just pure efficiency. He nets the puck the easiest/safest way he knows how, resulting in just clean, filthy goals. No wasted movements or added moves for flair. Actually pretty typical of our good humble & down to earth Canadian boys. No showing off for added attention (since we already hate being the centre of attention all the time, also just ends up adding another potential unnecessary target on your back), we just wanna get the job done, since winning ultimately is and has always been, our primary objective, and not individual recognition/gratification.

Mcdavid has THE MOST impressive talent of deception in 1 on 1s. His ability to methodically check all the boxes to completely fake out nhl all star goaltenders is unprecedented. First slowing down/speeding up, then going one way to another. Finally make a shot without having to look at where he wants to shoot because he already did that 5 strides ago. Hes nuts. Im not even an edm fan dudes.

.Matthews is an elite scorer but no1 is close to McDavid a stick handling at a such. High speed.. and that speed burst . He had the goalie diving on a Shootout

Fun fact: my sister is friends with connor McDavid on facebook. When I was just a kid and my sister had her facebook open I saw this guy that I had heard of from the Marley's in her recommended friends. So I added him and he added her back😂 this had to be around 2010 and I had no idea he would be this huge
im from erie and loved watching him in the ohl he as a person is so humble and just on a totally different level
Just imagine the Canadian Olympic team with Crosby & McDavid on the same line plus whoever the 3rd player is. Scary.

Yah, Crosby & Bergeron has chemistry together, going back to their time playing in the World Juniors. Marchand plays with Bergeron in Boston so chemistry between them is obvious. McDavid can play with MacKinnon to form a scoring blitz line. Perhaps Crosby & McDavid can play on the PP together --- putting them on the ice at the same time seems like a no-brainer to me.

McDavid is way too good for the league!!!
No kidding
A lot of people think he is physically gifted, but i think its all upstairs. His control on all levels can’t just come down to fast twitch muscles and training. His brain just computes and makes such small adjustments in all of his movements that it just looks like a different type of game when he plays. And on top of that he is aware of what his opponents are thinking, and looking for split second openings. Probably the smartest player around today.
I'm calling it right now, I think this kid is going to be good.

@@kendallvan5312 yeah this is just how it is. Back when Bure played, he was like McDavid in that he looked like he was from the future. And eventually with knowledge, training and better equipment you get another one but on the next level. Still have yet to see another Gretzky/Lemieux, but I’m sure he is coming.

One of the better players in the league at shootouts but his hands and finishing is not as smooth as Barkovs.
I disagree barkov’s moves are great and all but mcdavid’s hands are just as good as Patrick Kane’s, and he’s going at full speed most the time so yeah I disagree.

Never seen a goalie faked out so bad that he had to dive back on a shoot out
Respect, but the most special shoot out is from Pavel Datsyuk. It's so sick that I have never seen that execution from any player. Actually only one player was able do it. "And he did it again, shouted commentator, he got Vokoun on the fourth street. There is a lot of tricks you can copy and has been copied by followers, but I am not sure anybody can copy Datsyuk, its just too sick!
