If you'd like a single battery light that shares many of the Tactician's features along with that legendary Surefire quality, the EDCL1-T is the one for you. The tailcap switch is used to select between two modes (High 500 lumens - 1h runtime, Low 5 lumens - 45h runtime), and constant on for either mode is achieved by twisting the cap. The two way clip permits the light to be carried bezel up or down. 4.5" overall. Impact resistant. Water resistant. 220m beam distance. Knurled body and tailcap. Requires (1) CR123A battery (included). Aluminum construction. Color: Black. Made in the USA.

I was on the fence between this and the Stiletto. Got the Stiletto, but now looking at the EDCL2-T for a pack light.

Hi Jeff, I had also considered the stiletto which seems like a good EDC option as well. Does it have a momentary on function or is it just click on and off?

I understand what you mean by it being a little big for a single cell light but, I feel like some of those single cell lights are actually to short. I think 4.5 to 5 inches is the perfect length for and EDC flashlight, especially one you activate with momentary tail switch. Shorter than 4.5 inches you have to bend your thumb into a painful position to activate the light and not cover the bezel of the light with the heel of you hand. BTW, Thanks for the great explanation of the UI on this light. None of the other reviews I have seen on this light have covered it as well as you did.

Hi Brian, thanks and great point about some flashlights actually being too short. Now that you mention it, I think on the EDCL1 it's not the length but actually the wider bezel diameter that makes it feel slightly larger in the pocket than what I originally expected. Even thought the Tactician is a bit longer, it carries about the same because the bezel is approximately the same diameter as the barrel. Definitely my two favorite lights, and I enjoy carrying each of them for different reasons. Really wonderful products, and you won't regret owning either one. Thanks again, ML
